| fire doors are escape routes. i think when she "opened the fire door" she was trying to forget a lost relationship and ended up walking right back into a painful memory. i agree with citygirl about the cockroach metaphor and how the song turns into one of strength as she is finally able to open the fire door and move on from a tragedy. | |
