The song gives me chills. I thinks its amazing. I do think its funny that people think every single song in the world is written about a girl or a guy though. I agree with some of the people above. The song is about fighting inner battles. What you know is good vs. what you know is bad. All people at some point or another want to do the bad things they feel inside, but your conscience is what holds you back, and I think that battles between the devil and god are stronger inside of some people than it is in others, but it exists in everyone. |

I think the song is about realizing that death might not be tragedy..they seem to refer to it as a "masterpiece" meaning that rather than take death as something bad, they are looking at it as something more like a miracle..the opposite of life..and they've come to this amazing realization that death is just a fact of life, and if you can grasp that concept than you can understand that it isn't really a sad thing..but since most people don't see that they dont understand..thats why in the song people are staring at him with "bitter dislike"

TO:OLDSKOOLROCKERJTS: ok first of all Hawthorne Heights and My Chemical Romance are NOT emo bands for one thing, if you really want to educate on music maybe you should have a clue, don't ya think?? Instead of telling people that they don't know music you should think about what you know about music and apparently thats not much unless its' what you like, and that's not knowledge, real music appreciation is realizing that everyone likes different music and just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's not good, everyone's entitled to their own opinions but i don't think that this was really the place to post yours especially when you preach about knowledge of music and have none! and you want to talk about maturity lets think of the time you wasted looking at lyrics for bands that you apparently don't like, and acting really "mature" and writing bad shit on it, that's about as imature as you get! So maybe before you decide to have an opinion on something at least have the courtesy to respect other peoples. the song is literally about transition...when hawthorne heights was transitioning from A Day In The Life, ( their old name), the part where they sing "So here we are back to the start again" and the reason for the lyrics as days go bye..etc...is because his girlfriend was studying abroad, so it's not about breakup or heartbreak or anything like that...because on the cd cover it says inside what all the songs are about and that's what JT said himself, its' about transition |

i love this song, and i have the cd signed by JT!!! and a shirt signed by him to, and he hugged me!!!!emo chicks rock is right they have the meanings inside the cd it's about their girl friends. This is definately one of the greatest bands ever, i met JT at the vans warped tour and he's super nice!! lvoe this band and song! |

i didnt' like the new cd at first when i bought but i kept listening to it and now i love it, not as much as the first cd, their sound has changed alot but its still awesome, this song is proably my fave on the album. I think this album shows how much the band has matured in the first one the lyrics and sound were about heartbreak, and the lyrics had a powerfullness to them and this stuff is still good and even kind of like that but in a more mellow tone
i don't know if that makes sense, does anyone else get what i mean?? |
