I think the music video complements the lyrics to the song. The video provides of course a visual aid. The lyrics describes falling from the status quo. Once you are no longer like everyone else you are automatically lower on the food chain. You are marked, highlighted and looked down on by the people who either step over or on you. These same people can be cruel or sympathetic, but none have enough compassion to help even though we are all going down a road called life. Maybe just maybe a caring individual may stop to help, but only a little bit because they are trying to keep up with flow of the mainstream. Being the rabbit is a lonely, painful way to continue life, but it is enlightening. |

The lyrics describes a person who feels that they are true to their image. Whatever you see on the outside is what you see on the inside for him/her for they are transparent. However there is that haunting feeling that he/she doesn't know themselves even though they feel transparent and makes him/her feel inadequate because no one really relates to them. That's why he/she sounds "fucking mad." Its because no one understands that for the narrator looking at the autumn shade is looking at herself/himself. |

This entire album is so different from anything I've heard from them that it shocked me, but I still like STD...I totally fell in love with this song. Their lyrics are always meaningful and their imagery is always way vivid/crazy beautiful especially in "she." Saves The Day will always be my favorite band. |
