i think it's about herion... but it could also be about how he was abused as a kid, which he was. (and p.s. he's been dead since october, and if you didn't know that then maybe you don't have the right to be judging his songs) like when he says i can't beat myself and i don't want to talk i'm taking the cure so i can be quiet whenever i want so leave me alone you ought to be proud that i'm getting good marks i think he's talking about the abuse and how he's treated badly- but at the same time that could be herion because "the man" is usually a term for a drug dealer. and it's a great song and he should be appreciated and the royal tennebaums is an excellent movie. |
