| i think this song is about a girl who is with a guy who she is smitten for, but he doesn't really return the feeling - like he just doesn't love her the way she loves him. the point is that she knows it, and she regrets falling for him and is panged by the thought he doesn't feel the same way, as he 'sleeps away his troubles and forgets' about it. she looks past his mediocre feelings because she loves him unconditionally. through love unrequited, she still hopes he will never leave her. | |

some of these lyrics are wrong, but okay. the cool thing about starlight mints is that their lyrics don't make much sense, so it makes their songs very open to interpretation; any person can really fit them to have their own, personal meaning in their life. "pages" is different, and seems the easiest for a person to relate to, as the lyrics are a pretty coherent story being told. though still hard to interpret, this song is about a love. |
