Is it just me or does anyone else think this song isn't about killing yourself. I think the overall tone is satirical, pointing out where our dumb society sees faults and feels that nothing less than perfection is worth anything at all. I say this because it seems like they are giving you a disclaimer: "I hope you take this the wrong way And misinterpret what I say" When I hear this song I feel like getting up and doing something about my life, not looking for a gun to end it. |

The song to me is about loosing sight of your goals and dreams. Most likely lost a loved one and now he wants something, anything; "Anything to keep me breathing." "Lie to me // Give me something worth living for" sort of happened to me, you just want someone to tell you what to do, just so that you can have a purpose. |
