To say that this song doesn't have any human meaning about love I think is a bit naive. Yes I know that this song was written about God as most of Relient K's song are, however the beauty of music is the ability to interpret it to yourself, without taking anything away from the song itself. That why I think this song is so beautifully written along with the rest of the album. If you know the bands religious background then you begin to understand what the singer is trying to say in regards to himself but makes the message so subtle that it allows others, who don't believe in god to apply these same feelings and emotions to other things that they love, just as he loves God, and being an non-believer myself I think its an incredible generous act, we see so many radicals these days but heres a song that says "This is what my love is for God, you may not believe in him but there is someone or something out there that you love in the same way".... just amazing. On a more non-reflective note I personally relate to the line: And you said I know that this will hurt But if I don't break your heart then things will get worse If the burden seems too much to bear Remember The end will justify the pain it took to get us there As at the beginning of my relationship my girlfriend broke up with me as things weren't ready for the seriousness of what could happen, now later on we are back together, ready and are and always were in love 0:) |

I'm not a simple plan hater. I'm very open minded when it comes to music and apperciate that they aren't meant to be hard core uber punks, that they make fun bouncy poppy music to put a smile on your face, I have their latest album. But my GOD this song is awful. It stirs some hatred in me that no other song apart from non-stop screaming songs do.... well thats a bit harsh but its SOOOO poppy and cheesy and the way he says Chrissssmasshhh! rrrgh. I want everything do do da da... this song has made them plummet in my estimations. Like I said i understand they aren't meant to be punk or whatever but this isn't even good music. |

i really don't think its about rape, theres a twist on wanting relationship, i suppose the lack of consent could imply rape but i don't think its the focus. Still this is the most passionate and emotional songs i've ever heard .... unbelievable. "Die Young And Save Yourself!!!!" |

| Think the 'f' word is put in to show that the current market is all radio and mtv 'friendly'. And that people compare the softer, manufactured bands, they are singing about here to nfg cause they don't swear either. Just NFG wanna say that they aren't pop child friendly music, they just don't use swear words because they, like you said make it sound tasteless.... at least thats my opinion. | |

.... quite possibly the best acoustic track nfg have done :P, very mature but catchy. Songs rather relevent to me right now, especially "i sit and watch the clock on the wall as it counts down the end of my life " ... (mid-teen crisis lol). Think the song is about an old friend that they have fallen out and the person is willing to accept blame for whats happened and deperately wants to make it right, but the other one isn't too willing. |

This song is awesome, I think everyones gone through somethings like this at some point. trying to sleep but just can't. the 'back and forth, i toss and turn.it feels like.... strings are holding up my eeeeyyeesss...' sounds so good. A totally different topic for NFG and the lyrics capture the emotion of not being able to fall asleep perfectly, the frustration (fast parts), the submission (the slow parts). .... how can you think this is the worst song on the album? Jordan prolonged scream at the end of the song sounds cool too... should do it more often :P |
