This song, the version on Listener Supported, is my all time very favorite song (hence the 41 in all of my screennames for years!). Whenever I hear this I just have to dance. And if I'm drunk, I usually have to cry too. This song means different things to everyone, and that's the beauty of it. To me, I can't put the way this song feels into words, but what I can say is that it feels like Dave crawled into my brain and took every emotion I've ever felt in my life from one extreme to the next- celebration, loneliness, longing, loving, suffering, and just living, and put them into a song with solos that echo what I'm feeling equally, if not more stronly, than the actual words. This song makes me feel so helpless and little and pointless, but at the same time, stronger than anything and in complete control. Isn't that strange? This all becomes to much for me and then I have to stop thinking about it or I freak out! hahaha I LOVE DMB! |

Well obviously this is like a guy out with his girlfriend and she doesn't want to leave a tip. But the guy is like, "Come on, just give her some money." Basically he's saying we all should all look out for eachother. But I note tension between the couple too. That's why the guy says "some fucking change!" in a pissed off way. And he said everbody's good enough for some change, maybe looking at the girlfriend and thinking, "even YOU are good enough for some change", although he's probably not sure why really. I know I could be way off, but that's just what I think of when I hear it. ps...I LOVE LIVE!!!!!!!!!!! |
