i agree, it it can be dissapointing when you see a person with very low brow musical tastes listening to the same music the you worked hard to discover years earlier, just because it was on the radio. i think that it angers me because i feel they are just listening to it, and not appreciating it. at first, i was reluctant to share my knowledge with the more ignorant, but i have found that it is probably a good thing for them to be exposed to it. maybe it will finally enlighten people regarding the horrendous fall (popular) musical quality has taken since the death of kurt cobain and turn some heads towards the thriving indie scene.. alrady i see this happening as bands like matt mays (and el torpedo), the shins, the black keys, the mars volta and my red cell (the last of which is making the best punk music available today) are becoming more popular, and some are starting to get some substantial radio time. hopefully one of these bands will emerge as a new beatles, doors, or nirvana... we sure as hell need it |

i am relativley certain this song is about not giving in to what is socially acceptable and what being true to yourself... i think the lyrics 'you can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth' and 'the more you change the less you feel' demonstrate this perfectly. i think it is unbelievable songs with unbelievable lyrics like that put the shit on the radio like green day and simple plan and good charlotte, and all the mainstream hip hop (basically popular music as sad as that may seem) into perspective.. |

the song may be sorta kinda catchy (and this comes from a rap HATER) but jesus christ these lyrics are lacking. all maintsream rappers seem to write about is how theyre cool and theyre rich and they can fuck whoeever they wanna. cmon, rite sumthin substantial, would ya? |

i agree with eatcarpet. this song isnt about love at all. its about the fact that sum things are inevitable. nomatter what u do (crush, kiss it, walk it home from school etc.) it stays the same. at the end when he repeats "why cant you forget" hes asking why people cant just accept the inevitable. its a bit of a downer if u think about it |

the song is unbelievable. i have maybe 3 songs i will never ever stop appreciating. this song is surprisingly, yet perfectly simple. it doesnt need to be more complicated. its about thom, how he feels weird and how he thinks he's a creep because he goes against the grain. dude to his "creepiness" his girlfriend leaves him, and he wants to be perfect like her |

| Radiohead – 2 + 2 = 5 (The Lukewarm) Lyrics

heres how this works. thom york is extremely anti-bush. the title of the cd "hail to theif" is in regards to bush stealing, wether it be votes or other things. the title 2+2=5 is in regards to a miscount in the US election. but hell, its just my opinion.
ps. listen to the rest of the album, its totally anti bush |

if i had to guess, id say its about a friend of thom that was narcissitsic (spelling). i think the songs totally wicked, but personally the video confuses me. like what the FUCK, does he say at the end. i kno that the badnd and director swore theyd never tell, but id like sum opinions. ive watched the video over and over again trying to read his lips, and im just confusing myself |

retart60's name is correct, they r a retard. Im a huge fan of rock and punk, but hoobastank licks giant shlong. that song is a pathetic attempt at a ballad. also, eminem needs sumthing to write music bout, all his stuff is the same, and takes no talent, well, thats pretty much all rap... |

this song is bout his huge mood swings(depression to gettin stoned). Lithium is a drug prescribed for ppl w/ bipolar(mental illness he had), but it is also one of the elements(on the periodic table) that is most flammable- this may be symbolic of his mood swings. being flammable-like being explosive when angry |

im not quite sure, but i think this may have been about contemplating suicide. it was performed in new york 09/28/91 (thnx 4xeno) which was just b4 nirvana got big. he was really depressed then, and drugs were really screwin him up. gettin big pulled him outta that vicious circle, for a little while.
