"If people disagree with the war, they SHOULD voice their OWN opinion. Not support the country just because you fuckin live here."
I definitely agree with Adamobs24.
I never realized that A7X were conservative before, but I guess since they haven't really done other political stuff before, I wouldn't have known. But when I first heard the song, I heard them refer to the war and I thought they were taking against it, as pretty much any other band that I listen would if they wrote a song about it. |

Just to follow up to what I said before, that line was actually also originally in that 80's song "The Roof Is On Fire", and has been quoted many times before. So it is not originally from the song I mentioned before. I had mistaken badly. |

The part, "We don't need no water let the motherfucker burn" was in the song "Burn" by Rancid, which was recorded in 1994, two years before this song. Just to clear that part up. |

It's his letter to his father telling him how he feels angry about what happened. And saying "sometimes I forgive" but not necessarily saying "I forgive you". Kind of like there's hope but it's maybe far off. In the end he admits that he misses his even though he has done so much wrong to them. |

I interperrut it in two ways. One way it could be a "suicidal" song and the guy is just so happy cause he finally gets to leave this world. The other way is that he is excepting his death and is thinking back on his life and just trying to live the best day ever since it's his last day alive. The song has a happy and sad tone at the same time. I think that's what makes it special. |
