shadowwiththeeyes - i never said mine opnion was better than anoyone's. however the point i was trying to make, which i suppose you did'nt realize, is that there is nothing wrong with comparing bands. No one has ever said Green day is trying to be like another band. They are doing what they want. I personally love it, and im sure many people don't. Just as some people love music that i don't. however to criticize Green day and say they are copying other bands is not fair to them or to music. And having one of their albums in my name is just the the name i have used on AIM since i picked up that Cd many years back. rhcprox - i agree i love old green day, and i will admit you need to like a different style of music to enjoy their new stuff. To each their own. I am just sick of hearing that green day is copying bands and not being original. I hope this makes sense to somebody..... |

This song is so amazing. And there is nothing wrong with comparing Green Day to any band. Who cares if billie was inspired by Pink Floyd, or any band. Everyone is influenced by something or another. Maybe Green Day was inspired by Pink Floyd. WHO CARES????This is their own music and own words, not Pink Floyds. Anyone who says Green Day is just trying to copy what another band did is ignorant. This is simply Green day writing music for themselves, and what they want. they dont need the money that bad anymore they are rich. This is the kind of stuff they want to do and they should be thanked for it. i personally love the whole CD. If you don't like it no one said you have to keep listening to it. |

This whole cd is pretty good. However i think this song and even "one year, six months" really show what this band is capable of doing. I hope to see much more of this kind of development in their songwriting |
