To me, this song is a lesson in patience, the son, who, because he is young "jumps the gun" unlike the father.
Obviously the son wants his father to teach another person a lesson for insulting him (maybe because he is a Christian, who knows?) but the father uses the metaphor of being stuck behind a truck on the road. Sure, you might be in a rush, but the driver can't go as fast as you. You can't just lose your temper over something so trivial. |

I think this song deals with the singer/speakers deep seated feelings of inferiority, especially towards, or infront of, women.
Because of his issues, the singer turns to Jesus, only to find that he cannot understand many of the words in the Bible, with this in mind, he finds he can only do one thing.
So he becomes AS GAY AS THE DAY IS LONG.
Unfortunately, men do not seem to like him much either, so, ultimately, with no other option left, he kills himself by over eating cottage cheese. |

To me, this song ends the themes in achilles heel (obviously, because its the last track on the album), and how whatever the speaker does, he cannot stop the poison (the disintegration) of his relationship, he, now in the depths of alcoholism, reflects on his loss. |

Fantastic song off the new Pedro album, obviously this song is about Socialism, more specifically Stalin forcing the peasants into collectives to produce food for the workers of the factories in an attempt to industrialize Russia.
However, this song also brings in the themes of feelings of inadaquecy that run throughout Achilles Heel, and how the speaker in question can no longer draw comfort off his family, after all his fighting (either be it from the class war, or maybe an alternate message of fighting to get a family in the first place), so, with no alternative, his simpler plan is, obviously, to kill himself. |
