Its about the breaking point of a human being where they stop being a human being, because of their anger they are now a tool, ready to crush.

Man those are some crazy lyrics.
I think Burton's trying to say everyone is so proud of America and its "the best country on earth, land of the free etc." but people wont open there eyes and see the problems |

It's hard to say what the song is really about but if it is just "another athiest song". It's the best damn one ive ever heard. They arn't whining about religion and how their mommy's made them go to church and all that bullshit. It's like a war song. Fear factory rights the best angry music ever cause its never whiny. just "perfect anger" I love it!! |

I dont think they are blaming God or people who are religious. I think they are just saying humans are so helpless and we are always looking for answers in things that are not physically available to us. We need to start doing something about the world rather than just praying and saying "God will fix everything" |

Dude....first off were all fucking fear factory fans you don't need to get offended cause I thought a fuckin song has a different meaning to you. Second, Fear Factory songs are usually about the future and government shit. I think this song is about cloning. "designed thoughts and intellect".
I think you should have read the lyrics or learned a bit about Fear Factory before trying to make me sound dumb. |

I think it's about drug addiction and how it effects friendships. Like in the video when they sing "and if we change, well I love you anyways" Layne and Jerry are looking at each other right in the face. Coincidence? I think not |

Yeah it is about her. Anyone find it ironic that this was Alice in Chains last song they recorded together? And it was called "Died!" talk about bad luck Staley. he should have written one called "gonna stop doing Heroin"
After Layne died I was reading and Died, Get born again and another one were the last 3 songs they recorded together |

mars is right i think and with the whole "surprise you guys im late" when they were recording 3 legged dog, Layne would always show up late or not show up at all cause he would be passed out somewheres due to drug problems obviously. |

Yup this song is definitly about becoming christian cause supposedly in christianity when you "accept" god you are born again. Layne is definitly talking about some of the problems in christianity especially the lying part. awesome song |

| Alice in Chains – Angry Chair Lyrics

Lots of interesting theories guys. But yeah this song is way too deep to correctly analyze. The secrets to it are probly in the grave with Layne.
One thing I thought was interesting was winter onyx's idea about the egyptian legend about how the weight of the heart mattered more than the size, because in high school when we learned about that in history angry chair was the first thing that shot to my mind so I've always thought that has had something to do with it also. |

| Alice in Chains – Down In A Hole Lyrics
| 21 years ago
|
Paperface was right in the first place and blind opium.
This song IS about Jerry's love Courtney Clark. In the A.I.C box set in the back there is an interview sorta thing that talks about different songs with Jerry and he says that he wrote the song about her or whatever. So that is what the song was written about but I think it is important for people to interpret it in 2 ways. First for the reason Jerry wrote it, and second it is a really good metaphor for Layne's life. Plus Layne had the powerful voice in the song so it makes it seem liek that is what it is really about. Anyways I think Jerry knew when the song came out that people would think it was about Layne's drug addiction and nobody ever heard him complain about it so I think it can go both ways. Either way it's one of th best A.I.C songs written. so once again if ya wanna get technical on it, it originally had nothing to do with any Heroin addictions. |

This is by far my favorite Fear Factory song ever. Holy shit when I was a kid I would listen to this on the Mortal combat soundtrack and it would scare the shit out of me haha. The drumming in this song proves that Herrera is the God of double bass. During the chorus (I am down on my knees etc.)
listen to the double bass patterns. (triplet.double kick/snare then solid double bass) over and over. Iv'e been trying to play that on my drums for a year and I can barely get it. anyways enough of my rambling...I get too excited over this shit |

| Fear Factory – Invisible Wounds (Dark Bodies) Lyrics

yeah that sounds about right but what does he mean by "sometimes I feel as though I'm frozen in heaven?"
By the way Fear Factory has never come close to selling out. Selling out is when you turn the path of limp bizkit or some gay band like that and your on MTV 24 hours a day and then people finally realize you suck and then you get made fun of. Fear Factory fans don't like them cause they are popular they like them cause they're good and I don't know many 11 year old girls who listen to Fear Factory. But at least on Archetype Fear Factory realized what their true sound should be and went back to it. |

haha this is gonna be funny cause I would contradicting Fear Factorys Burtons beliefs by doing this but Fuck you Rubberband.(if your being serious)
Fear Factory has more talent than most other bands around. Herrera is the king of double bass and no one can touch him, even if there arnt any solo's the guitar playing is perfect for there stlye and is fuckin awesome and Burton has one of the most unique voices ever and his lyrics are unbeatable. that guy is a genius |

I'm not sure if this is right or not cause I don't like to think this, but it seems like I'm right. I think this song is about Dino. "The infection has been removed, the soul of this machine has improved."
Like I said I don't like to think that, cause Dino kicks ass but I seriosly think that its a possibility. |
