| Tool – Rosetta Stoned Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"dead head chemistry. (the) blotter got right on top o' me." deadhead chemistry, blotter = LSD "orange slices" = deadheads believe vitamin C helps with acid trips, used to be common to see tripping deadheads eating oranges at dead shows "See, the dead ain't touring and this wasn't all in my head" = he's saying he's not tripping, the dead aren't touring so there's no acid around, it's not in his head, it really happened at the tool show this tour, during rosetta stoned they played videos of planets, solar system, space.. i believe this is about a guy who believes he was abducted by aliens, but no one believes him because he was on hallucinogenic drugs.. but he really was abducted.. no one believes him and he gets committed to a hospital |

combat salacious removal = fight against the loss of sexual desire that sometimes happens in long term relatiohships "I've had no sense of time since we started this thing out" = long-term relationship "We want strong summer love, the most robust of blood Just to stay awake" = they want to keep the strong sexual attraction, the good sex, to keep things hot and exciting between them i fucking love this song. |

| Interpol – Leif Erikson Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"I don't know about that, seeing as Interpol is from New York." actually, paul was born in essex england and daniel was born in london. carlos is from queens and sam is from philly. so the theory about a pony being UK slang for 25 lbs could be correct |

| Alice in Chains – Brush Away Lyrics | 21 years ago |
this is my favorite AIC song. i believe it's about trying to change, yet making the same mistakes, "i try to get away and yet i stick around" so he messes up again, having to say he's sorry, clean up his mess so to speak, to "brush away loose ground" brush away the effects of his habits and try again, he tries to be on time but he's late = he's trying to change but he can't, his habit calls him back anyway that's my interpretation. i can relate to everything layne sings about. RIP |
