This song is about when Perry got kicked out of his apartment. He was really down because he hated looking for new places just because he was a crazy looking guy, and people never believed him when he said he wouldn't be partying or drinking. This song I'm pretty positive is about Perry Farrell looking back upon his more self distructive days. "Just because" Is basically him now looking back now that he's cleaned up and is singing about his former self. "If I were you, I'd better watch out, When was the last time You did anything Not for me or anyone else." - means about how he used to be really self absorbed and even almost destroyed himself. "You'v got the most But nobody loves you Nobody has to" -I feels is that when your famous you feel you have everything, and yet everyone around you is fake and you have no true friends. yea this is about what everyone is saying. its pretty self explanitory. Iv always felt that Matt loves this girl who's been through some abuse from her dad, and although she can be timid and okay with everythin, he knows it scarred her deeply. I think although he loves the chick he is somewhat intimidated by the anger she has towards her past and he tries to make her feel good, but is scared that she could easily turn her agression on him someday as she's not complelely stable. (Jenni killed her dad with her car and now she's a millionaire) Could that mean that she somehow gets so ragefilled about her past that she turns on Matt and kills him in place of her dad, inheriting his fortune? |

I feel this song is just about simple teen angst. Junior high can be tough, i feel its about that quite 'weird' kid that people either didn't talk to or picked on. So the kid goes through school having to try and make himself blend in the croud so he's not picked on, and when he does talk to people they are all self exorbed and dont care about him. (Don't move stay right where you are/ Talking can only give you away/ This is boring, all we talk about is you.) A boy and his machine gun, is basically the kid, and his built up frusterations and anxietys that he has to lug around. He's not going to necissarily explode or use it, but its just represents his struggles and hardships. |

| I think this song is pretty simple. We are so wrapped up in what the world has to offer, its good and bad. The song basically is about being your own person and withstanding the influences it has to offer (Here by my side, an Angel, Devil, Be careful.) And by being your OWN person and doing your own thing, your stronger for it, it makes you literally "A Weapon." As you go through your every day life, staying true to yourself, painting and leaving your own individuality on the world, while you simply just breath in and out. | Matt's songs are confusing, but that doesn't mean they don't hv any meaning. I THINK basically this song parallels a relationship that is so strong, but despite the intense love the couple has, they are continually faced with complications, and fate is against them. (That why it talks about him dying, but promising her he'll make up for it by coming back, giving her a stereo, ext.) In the end though, the two are so frusterated that he decides to give in to dying as she decides to come along with him. (We won't say a thing, while you give your life away.) | |
