My boyfriend and I have been together for 9 months and he is in the United States Marine Corps and he is away right now at SOI and we have spent a lot of time away from each other but we know that we will be there when he comes home. He will be in Iraq early next year and that is a scary thought to us both. We are very happy together and we love each other very much. He always has me too come to to vent about his week. | I have been dating the same guy for about 8 and a half months and he is the best person I have ever met. He is also my best friend. I love him to death and back in march i was in las vegas and i was away from him and i got this punk goes acoustic cd and its really really good and this song was on it. I called him and he was at work so i left a voice mail saying hey and i missed him and then i played the chorus on his phone. I wrote him letters all summer because he was gone for 3 months to bootcamp. he joined the marines and i knew he would have to leave but i didnt know that i would miss his as much as i do. Then he came home in september and he was here for 10 days and i listened to this song while reading all the letters i wrote him. He brought them home and gave them to me since he couldnt keep them. He is now at School of Infantry and he will be in Iraq for a year so this song has a lot of meaning to him and to me. | |

even though this is probably the most popular song by staind, it still holds a lot of meaning for me. when i was 10 2 of my family members died and then my friends mom died from jumping out of a car becuase she was on drugs and i heard this song and it just helped because i slipped into depression and it took me about 5 years to start to come out of it. My grandfather died when i was 14 and my friend died in a car accident and staind just helped because i would slip in and out of depression. I knew what it was like to have it be awhile until you were happy. Then i started cutting myself and i found my boyfriend and he helped me stop. Everytime i would cut he would make me watch as he started to cut himself until i cried. he neber really cut himself but each time he would say that is how much i hurt when you do that to yourself. So i can now say i know what its like to have been awhile and thanks to this song it just helped me medicate my wounds when i would go into depression.... *did that make sense*?! |
