well if she was then obviously she wouldn't agree to do a song that had a critical view of religon. i like your idea though about how it does have to do with religon, and all the while clair is singing it makes u think. your own thoughts... which is really kind of like religon. no one can really force one on you, and even if u are born into a church family u can have your own take on what a verse means while your dad has another, or completely rebel against it all together. its very emotional and probably says a lot more than a lot of songs out there with words. |

she must be one of those girls who plays tons of games to make him want her more by playing hard to get and she's able to do it good too obviously he thinks she's super hot "lord how they hypnotize". but at the same time she drives him crazy and frustrates him because "Wanted a woman, never bargained for you." well.. i'd definitally take that as an insult if i were her. and even though i can in no way relate to the lyrics WOW this song is awesome! it has so much emotion and mmmm everything is perfect. i do have to get a really super long version of this song i'd listen to it so often.! lol maybe someday i'll learn how to play it with a bow. that would b fun. |

| Yes – I've Seen All Good People: Your Move/All Good People Lyrics

wow i dont' think there is one translation that i dont' think it could be. i think the part "I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way." is like what lara311 said, but the so satisfied i'm on my way is like but i don't really pay attention to it because i have my own faults too. its basically a song about where you place yourself in life. not to be selfish, and not to be critical of other people. i think there was a verse in proverbs about not judging other people for the speck in their eye for you have a board in your own. something like that. move on back from yourself and look around at whats around you, notice the people and send them loving messages. don't do it later or say that you haven't cause we all can improve, so thats why "'Cause it's time, is time in time with your time". like a do it now sort of thing. |

oh i LOVE this cd! it has the story written out in a normal way in the beginning, and the lyrics themselves are the story. its so awsome! in this part he was running from something that was taking over the city and it took him to like another place. no one else saw it, but he did, and it scared him so he just ran as fast as he could. it kind of means how you could have something you are running from or a problem in your life, but other people don't know. like... when you're sitting in class alone deep in thought and then you look around at the class and they are doing their own thing, some socializing and some doing work, some reading... we all have our own lives. and in his he's stuck going in one direction by habbit and all its doing is harming him. |

wowzers. i love what thisboy said. but thats as far as i got w/ reading em all. what i know for SURE about this song is "and did you exchange walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage? " is about the people being drafted for the veitnam war. lots of people didn't go when they were drafted because they completely did not agree with the war and ended up in jail. i think because of this line that this song is all about choices. no matter where you go and who you are you have to make choices. good decisions. "so. so you think you can tell heaven from hell." is practically so. so you think you can tell. a good decision from a bad decision. and ^____^ this song has the first lead i ever learned on guitar!!! i <3 my guitar. though... i have no one to play with. well my mom... but yeah lol not as fun as it would be with a friend. she plays rythm and i play lead on this song. tis cute. though i play rythm for a while before the ending lead cause they do it twice there too as well as the beginning. OOPS off topic. but yeah wherever you go you will always have choices and fear making a bad decision. thats why you are stuck in a fishbowl with the same old fears. wish you were here may also be... could you please help me decide? |

to me its putting a different mood on death besides FEAR like most people. because you CANNOT ESCAPE IT! but thats why he feels that way. because... you cannot escape it. and how different people react to certian circumstances, and there are just so many emotions in the singing. it really does make you feel like you are flying when u listen to it. like you are in the sky... dying. i love it. its so pretty.! |

| Pink Floyd – Welcome to the Machine Lyrics

but the reference he does make to the controlling machine over other bands and that "formula" band like new found glory or simple plan is in the song "gravy train" which i think is placed on that cd right after this song. "oh by the way which one's pink?" is in that song, and thats basically saying that the record companies will try to make you into a formula band (some of which i alredy named, but others were boy bands and singers like brittany spears and jessica simpson for a while) so that u can sell even more to make their money. |

i think its basically what was said, but only the record company didn't take control of him. obviously they couldn't have... its art rock and he'll do what he wants cuz its art. he fell into the "machine". the overrated view of the rich and famous life. yeah its definitally gotta be fun to jam out on stage letting your emotion flow out of an instrument or your lyrics, but its still got its downsides that are not shown on tv. he's just saying how common it is to rebel against school, and try to get back at your mom for punishing her back by being bad and uncontrolable, and one thing she can't control is his music. no one can control his music. so welcome to the machine of being a musician. they know where he's been in his youth, and they told him what to dream so they could use him to make money. they are the music company, and different forms of entertainment. |

just recently... actually last week, my grandpa died. this song pretty much explains how it must be the last few minutes of being alive. life probably does flash before your eyes and you're like wow where did the time go? and it must have felt so weird slipping out. through the killed time and all the spent time it all added up in the end. he really did a lot, being a doctor and all saved a lot of lives and such, but still when his wife died he seemed to be doing a lot of mental running and even years after. even in his last few months. running to find peace with that, and running to find how she could have gotten away so quickly and why isn't he too? and how could his children have grown so quickly and then his grandchildren? and in his last few years after his wife died, he did not go anywhere really except with us because his wife was the one that made him get outta the house, loosen up, and have some fun since he was so serious. kind of like the last verse. its always nice to relax at home warm and comfortable after hard work. |

I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY HE SHAVED OFF HIS EYEBROWS AND ALL HIS HAIR! OMGSH! thank u streamer! lol and later in the movie ppl are walking through a feild and their eyebrows are all exaggerated. i always wondered why! but oh great at the same time there is another symptom of schizophrenia that i've got. lol i always wondered why i felt that way. well they kinda are dirty though... u sweat in your armpit so u shave em, and your eyebrows get zits in them easier than other places, and my hair gets greasy so fast i have to wash it everyday... so maybe that makes up for why i feel that way lol i donno. |

i can completely relate to this song. once you build your walls around yourself, you only leave holes for certian people like your best friend or maybe your mom. like when he talks about that person outside the wall breaking bottles in the hall asking him to help him. he's a stranger, so pink definitally wouldn't go up to him and start talking to him, but hopes desparately for someone to talk to him instead. there is a frustrating separation between him and other people making it impossible for him to meet anyone new except for the people he has alredy met, and may even be pushing them away with his walls. but he wishes so much they could be gone, so in the movie he pounds them as a desparate attempt to fight them. oh i love that classical guitar work at the end of that song. i'm so glad my accoustic is a classical i'm gonna learn that this summer definitally along with blood on the rooftops by genesis. |

oh i LOVE how at the beginning when the music starts its all pretty and then that lower sound is added in. that would b so fun to learn on guitar. i agree w/ musicool, though i like how idiotic points out the psychological walls part. i think its relating feelings of what war does to people and what BuLlEtZoFtHeWicKeD described: feelings of hope but at the same time fear and chaos. anxiety really. hopeing and praying it does not do whatever u r afraid of happening, and going through oh it won't but oh i HOPE it doesn't! |

wow. i like looking at other ppl's interpretation of this song. i couldn't really decipher for myself what it was about. but it really reminds me of when i'm doing my self hypnosis or meditating really whichever they r pretty much the same... and you're in a different reality not really sleeping but your imagination is going crazy... well in this case really relaxed not crazy. and the albatross is such an awesome bird cause its wings are huge... so i imagine that it would fly really smooth, but isn't that the bird that has harsh landings? well i don't think he meant that part lol. but to me it just brings feelings of freedom & makes me breathless. |

to me it means even though your work is never done until you are with life its so hard to just keep breathing but at the same time impossible to just stop breathing. but then its so relaxing and flowy and u can listen to it while u r doing anything... so its kindof like the flow of life and how its just the way things go. people die while u r alive and its a flow, but a change in flow, and things happen as another change in flow... and moves on till it all comes crashing down in your last few breaths while it isn't flowy anymore. |

this song is just so awesome how it just makes you feel the emotion and more apathetic and the guitar lead almost makes me forget how to breathe. i can't relate to the heroine useage part, but the apathy to the point of being comfortable is such a farmiliar feeling and its so nice at times. i think it completely explains it throughout the movie "The Wall". its the overall feeling he gets from that whole experience. and the animation is AWESOME how one thing turns into the next though it is very sexual lol its great. |
