Jay-Z – Brooklyn's Finest Lyrics 19 years ago
nevermind what it means, this is what got Pac hyped on Jay's a**, good song though, its amazing just like Foundation4life quoted above, how barely anybody has said anything about this song, for its top notch collaboation to its dreaded connection to the east/west beef....yall guys are nuts for missing this one

Nas – Hate Me Now Lyrics 19 years ago
Binormal the stuff you commented was honest and true, and the same goes to RonArtest91 and Junkyardd0g. i find it hilarious though when i came to this particular song to check the many initerpretations and well to my amazement, the first comment was from someone calling rap is crap and dogging the video, which did confuse me, and yes whoever YellowcardXChick is they are very ignorant, and btw i listen to alot of both rap, rock, punk, hardcore, and well i don't see much difference in quality of music either, besides if Aliens were to come to our planet, they would so quickly dismissed our music as crap and ehaust noise on a ship

Jay-Z – Takeover Lyrics 19 years ago
ok, um slide0707, success? hmmm, how would you describe his success in hip hop, degrading women, and rapping over over-produced beats that out do his own brick laying lyrics and getting massive attention for it and recognition and let alone the cash flow, i guess. I can place myself in Nas's shoes, watching some fake ass m_fkr get cocky and relish in their narcissistic world try to damage my character. Jay started it all, and deserves the bashing. Jay isnt nothing but the equivalent of NY south rap, but anyway, i must admit Takeover was well written, although jay's flowing is kinda lack enthusiasm. and money doesn't quite mean success yah know....

Nas – Ether Lyrics 19 years ago
to the guy above D4MVP, wtf? i dont really quite understand how you could say jay got into Nas's head, with what bar, what phrase, what words....all Jigga-man did was constantly remind Nas how many records he sold over his career compared to Nas, which is booty to me, sorry record sales doesn't count, that's what Jay's problem is anyway, caught up in record sales than keeping it real and saying something worth while, phony, misoginistic, narcissistic m___fkr, jay ain't sh_t. And besides, production wise, ether's a better mix anyway, Jig's adlibs are annoying as hell, boring. Nas murdered Jay, Nas got into Jay's head beyond name bashing....clear your glasses man and look between the lines...and yeah um sorry homes, what the hell does mentionin affairs with someones ex lover have to do with the subject that is

Radiohead – In Limbo Lyrics 20 years ago
polarbears?, you're not the only one, I lust over how mind boggling and lost this song sounds. Arcadia1, you sound like me, i hate how many of these people on here talk about their own conception of a song especially anything off of Kid A, hell this song wasn't called In Limbo for nothing, and besides I'm guessing RH probably intended for the album to be more meaningful thru music than lyrics. I don't understand why many don't like this song, i guess it's too confusing to them, but i feel a great vibe from it, it's more addicting than its later track. And the ending, damn it's great, just like the ending to National Anthem.

Tricky – 6 Minutes Lyrics 20 years ago
Another favorite of mine from the man. Obviously he's talking about the six minutes before stepping into the public as a celebrity and the cycles of being one, hell, most of the material he did on Angels with Dirty Faces he talked about celebrity and his phrase "Naked and famous". I love the repetitiveness of the beat, it works well on the mind, a good track to listen to on the bus.

Tricky – Antihistamine Lyrics 20 years ago
This is perhaps my favorite song from Tricky besides Tricky Kid and 6 Minutes. It's gorgeously dark and relentlessly unheartful, beautiful stuff I say. This is what made me a fan of this man, that beat and his voice and lyrics speak out loud and beyond what is being sung. I first heard it when i had bought Trick's video dvd and in the short autobiographical footage it was played while he was in the studio. Luckily i found it to d/l becuz the soundtrack it's on sucks ass. From what i can interpret, he's either talking about some chick he devoted to somehow but he's very possessive and feels backstabbed for some reason. I think his "...don't give a ... about millenium" he's just giving his personal opinion about how it doesn't phase him any, he's not in any concern about music in the future or the styles. Hell the guy in the song evidentally must be a pimp or something. Tricky loves the word 'anti'. anyway, beautiful stuff, wish Tricky made more songs like this, but he's in a diff direction now, oh well. Good for him.

Tricky – Yoga Lyrics 21 years ago
Simple enough, probably recorded during Bjork's Post sessions and ended up on Trick's EP Nearly God. It sounds like the two lovers having a playful argument, but in reality is an example of the two's demising relationship.

Tricky – Peyote Sings Lyrics 21 years ago
Again Tricky announces his bitterness of being famous and argues with a reporter or interviewer about asking him so many questions and stuff and how the media should just get a life. He also mentions his anger about the journalist bashing him about raising his daughter. A really personal song from Tricky. Reminds me of a mellow version of Tricky Kid.

Tricky – Keep Your Mouth Shut Lyrics 21 years ago
I'm sorry, but I'm not diggin the lyrics, for one they're misleading from what they sound to be. All the words he was speaking in this song i thought was about him struggling and bjork being a female in his head talking softly about irrelevant stuff. What really bugs me about this song is that the lyrics Bjork sings aren't original, just rehash's of "You've been flirting again" lyrics from her Post album. Anyway nice intro though.

Tricky – Record Companies Lyrics 21 years ago
every line on this song is true and definate. Tricky often at times in his lyrics made quotes about his record disputes and music business politics on "Angels with Dirty Faces" LP. I love it how brings up the fuq'd up situation with tupac and BIggy, and how when an artist dies, their stuff sales more. But the part when he keeps mentioning about, why the f*** you buy their guns...lifes too short for stray bullets; he's probably talking about Tupac on his obssession with guns and how it shortened his life. I believe that line "my baby mama kick it like Billie Hol." is from Tupacs line from one of his innumerous songs.

Tricky – Tricky Kid Lyrics 21 years ago
there's nothing much to say about this ego-confessional masterpiece but badass. The entire song is sung in a loop sequence, but never remains repetative, as he crashes the party with his arguments about celebrity, and his background. This is Tricky's form of lashing out at the media. Trick where you at? Yeah!

Radiohead – Idioteque Lyrics 21 years ago
OK FOR A PEACE OF MIND, TO YOU ALL...THE EVIDENCE LIES NOT IN THE LYRICS BUT THE BAND AND ALBUM. Every word on Kid A references to nothing but the theme of chaos from far away. The lyrics on all the songs on this record ARE random, and for any zealous fan who knows somewhat of Radiohead's idea themes, they use certain phrases from their favorite books and most of them from Stanley's stories, Thom places them in order. If you do find a meaning to Kid A's songs then yeah you're trying to find a meaning not Kid A. hell what else is next, fans trying to decipher Radiohead's name or W.A.S.T.E. (which is from one of their favorite books). And yeah, c'mon you hippies, no Radiohead doesn't do drugs while making albums. That's an insult to this band, besides the way Nigel their producer works, how the hell could one concentrate on such detail to this complex music while drug induced? get real...

Björk – All Neon Like Lyrics 21 years ago
OH MY GOD, NO ONE HAS COMMENTED ON THIS SONG. One of the most powerful and mesmerizing songs ever to be written and produced, A.N.L. is an angel incarnate, and really isn't appreciated unless you see the performance she gives on Live at Cambridge dvd.

Björk – 5 Years Lyrics 21 years ago
this song is one of my faves on Homogenic that seemed to be overlooked alot by fans. It's extremely emotinal, and though me being a guy and all, (who could careless about relationships and lovers etc.) I find it to mean something more than what the lyrics are. Bjork is blazing on this song, beautiful, just like she is. And we all know how simple her songs are, she prefers that way, as she said (i quote from a magazine) people who crowd their songs and poems with big words don't make the songs honest.

Radiohead – Pyramid Song Lyrics 21 years ago
ONE OF THE MOST EMOTIONAL SONGS FROM RH NEXT TO IDIOTEQUE AND BIG BOOTS/MAN-O-WAR. Since this is a song we all can relate, I'll mention my first listen to it was on a bus, while it was raining and I was reflecting on the past couple of months, and seriously thinking about my life the next year. REALLY RH's SONGS AREN'T MEANT FOR MEANING IN GENERAL BUT PERSONAL MEANING. But yeah, I agree with all of you, this song is about reflection, self-acceptance in life and courage. And at the end of the song when he say's the finishing line, "There was nothing to fear, nothing to doubt", well it just means, through out all of life's bullshit and drama, there was always life, and it's ambition to move on.

Radiohead – Airbag Lyrics 21 years ago
umm...dude with the name of (motorcycledrivebyer), Radiohead doesn't use drugs. And you'd be surprised how many musicians write powerful songs while sober. This is probably the most obvious and self explanatory song by RH, any fan would know, cuz they know about Thom's car crash accident back in the late 80's. And dude, one more thing, I dont' wanna diss your comment, but Thom is not on drugs, his appearance is bcuz lack of sleep and his past child hood traumas with his eye surgeries.

Radiohead – I've Seen It All (Featuring Bjork) Lyrics 21 years ago
a classic in Bjork's category of music, and a super well job of singing by Thom Yorke. He actually sings deep in this song. and yes the two are supposibly to be arguing in the song.

Radiohead – Polyethylene (Parts 1 & 2) Lyrics 21 years ago
THANKYOU ALL FOR RECOGNIZING A RH CLASSIC, this is perhaps one of the greatest RH rock songs ever. I own a thick stash of their mp3's but this one sticks out as if it was a single. I think any fan of the old school RH will enjoy it, and anyone of the new school (like me) should give props to such a beautiful gem like Polyethelyne. just beautiful.

Radiohead – Man of War Lyrics 21 years ago
whoaw, 2002? those were the only reviews on this song. Damn! this is one of the greatest RH songs ever to not be released (too bad). It was to be featured on the old Avengers soundtrack, but never made it cuz RAdiohead were too jaded by its incompletion, just watch "Meeting People is Easy" movie. Honestly, I could careless what RH's songs mean cuz they're just too beautiful to sit there and decipher, I'd rather just swim in the harmony of the band's music and Thom's voice. But yeah, umm to the guys above my comment go to, (http://s93609871.onlinehome.us/tired/mp3s.html) they have the ripped version straight from the MPiE movie. It's beautiful.

Radiohead – A Reminder Lyrics 21 years ago
this song which was released on the greatest EP ever to be pressed, "Airbag/How's my Driving EP" I'm not gonna get into the meaning, cuz like the others said, it's self explanatory. But the song is beautiful though. Dismal but inspiring.

Radiohead – Everything in Its Right Place Lyrics 21 years ago
I TELL YOU, YOU CHARLES MANSON THINKERS SUCH AS YOU (st341thn1nj4). Dudes, Radiohead makes no references at all to drug use and their effects. For one, the members of RH don't use drugs anyway except for alchohol. That's just plain stupidity man, you dissed Radiohead by saying that, they're not some Pink-Floyd-eque-drug-hazy-rocker's music, it's emotional or thinking music without the drugs man. AND ONE MORE THING OTHER FANS OUT THERE WHO HAVE BEEN EXPRESSING TOO MUCH SAY-SO ABOUT THE TRACKS ON KID A. EVERY SONG ON KID A HAS NO MEANING, JUST EMOTION. ALL THE SONGS ON THIS ALBUM WERE WRITTEN RANDOMLY OR OUT OF RADIOHEAD'S FRUSTRATION FROM THE OK COMPUTER PERIOD THE END.

Radiohead – Idioteque Lyrics 21 years ago
ALL OF YOU GUYS MUST BE IGNORANT, OR OVER ANALYZING THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF MUSIC BY THE GREAT RADIOHEAD. THE SONG MEANS NOTHING!! Thom Yorke admitted this in some interview, just random words and phrases pulled from a hat, all mixed together craftly into a looped and sequential beat. Now look the song may come across as meaning something to us all especially when you're paying attention to the lyrics and not the song, hell i admit it reminded me of the holocaust, but that's false. Any track on Kid A should not be looked at but instead heard through sounds not meaning. THATS WHY THERE WERE NO LYRICS IN KID A, just Stanley Donwoods and Tchosky's art reflecting the meaning of the movenment Kid A. If you ask me, I'm a fan also, but how can one truly enjoy Kid A or Idioteque if they only pay attention to the lyrics.
