I think I have the first live recording of this song. I went to the 09.28.2005 show in Starland Ballroom in Jersey and Chris said that he just wrote the song the night before. First off it wasnt Comdey Central, it was Cartoon Network
Gerard was at a meeting with Cartoon Network on 9-11 he was trying to pitch his idea about his Cartoon. His cartoon was about a scandinavian flying imp who talked like Bjork and harnessed a special power called Breakfast Magic. Which meant he could create an assorted menu of breakfast food. One power was making giant waffles appear. The show was called "The Breakfast Monkey" and sadly cartoon network turned down the pitch because they already had another food related show in production. That show was Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Grerard saw the whole thing happen, it changed his life. a week later he and his friend Matt got together and jammed in matt's attic and record a demo, the first song they ever recorded was Skylines And Turnstiles which was about what happened a week earlier.

New Year’s Project is about meeting a girl at a New Year’s party and that whole feeling of asking someone out. The girl in this song is also the same girl in Dashboard’s Screaming Infidelities. Originally, this song was called New Year’s but when FSF was recording it, the file would come up as "New Year’s Project." They liked the name of it and it stuck |

the bradley is basically about being in a bad relationship. This song was named after a military tank in an HBO movie called “The Pentagon Wars” with Kelsey Grammar and Carey Elwes. When FSF wrote this song, they kept adding and taking away parts. That is basically what Uncle Sam was doing to those tanks. In the end, the tanks were really expensive and sucked really bad. |

this may be way off but what the hell.
if this song is about the media then wouldnt it be about NBC, think about it. nbc uses a peacock as its logo and that whole "Which peacock is beast? Which peacock is priest?" line could be about NBC's affiliates such as MSNBC and CNBC.
i gave it a shot, although im sure i'm wrong. |

i cant believe no one commented on this song.
I think this song is about how prescription drugs are given to a person when her/she is mentally unstable. When the drug takes effect , the person can no longer feels his/her pain anymore making them numb.
