| System of a Down – Toxicity Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Conversion, software version 7.0, Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub, I think the software is a psychedelic drug such as mushrooms or acid that opens doors and allows you to see things that you couldn't before. Eating seeds as a past time activity, The toxicity of our city, of our city, This is about how people use those drugs for fun and recreationally rather than for religious spiritual purposes. New, what do you own the world? How do you own disorder, disorder, I think here he is saying to the controlling forces such as the government who are destroying people's minds and polluting and destroying our earth. Now, somewhere between the sacred silence, Sacred silence and sleep, Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep, Disorder, disorder, disorder. This is saying that although rock is dead and most of the people are dead there is still a small few out there who understand what is happening and there is disorder. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Only Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think it's about how you can't actually believe that any one other than yourself is real. There is no way of knowing they are. You know that you are conscious, but how do you know that anyone else is. In all likeliness the world is just a creation of your own head and they are all just machines, creations of your own. They are there to do what they do to affect you. | |
| Mudvayne – Monolith Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is about Terrence Mckenna's theory in the book Food For the Gods. He talks about how the symptoms of magic mushrooms may have been a factor in our evolution into the human kingdom. Some apes who found and made psilocybe cubenis a part of their diet gained religion, language, self reflection... Many cultures of the past used the magic mushroom for spiritual consciousness expansion. It talks about how messed up our society is today and maybe if we unbanned the use of psychedelic drugs we could fix it. | |
| Tool – Pushit Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think he is talking about how his mind and perception is more cleansed through practice of psychedelic drugs. The girl still loves him but she is still living in the ordinary bullshit human reality that each of us create. She still loves him but by making conversation and loving her he is being pulled back down to her level of consciousness, a place he never wants to be again. | |
| System of a Down – Question! Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Sweet berries ready for two ghosts are no different than you the sweet berries are maybe like the forbbidden fruit, a magic mushroom which elevates you to the level of a god and let's you see things more clearly |

| System of a Down – Question! Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Do we, do we know, when we FLY? When we, when we go, do we die? Where do, where do we go, when we DIE? i think what he is refferening to by fly is using hallucinogenic drugs, and he is saying that through using them he realizes that our consciousness is eternal and once we are dead we can float to any space and time freely as we would like. this is kind of similar to what is talked about on tool's lateralus cd |

brandy for the nerds should be brandy for the nerves |

Conquest to the lover and your love to the fire Permanence evolving in the absolute Forgiveness is the ultimate sacrifice Eloquence belongs to the conqueror this talks about how messed up our fascist american government is and how people can't even see that as they are dead by tv and such and can't think for themselves. Two pictures of time and space are rearranged In this little piece of biblical tragedy Justified candy, brandy for the nerds Eloquence belongs to the conqueror this talks about how christianity has messed stuff up because it wasn't even written by jesus and some people take it all completely seriously. it is also giving up your free will by descision in believing in heaven and hell to keep us in line. Also about how the use of psychedelic drugs such as LSD or psilocybic mushrooms could expand those people minds and let them see the truth more clearly and become open minded and fix these problems and our civilization. Also about how we use alcahol these days as a substitute for a form of eccstacy and joy like our ancestors used to use spiritual plants. You and me will all go down in history, with a sad Statue of Liberty, and a generation that didn't agree. this is about how people are blinded and dead from watching tv and not being able to use their mind enough and people won't even know the horrors that are, they will just go on living in their own ego-centered reality Generation... Belonging, belonging to... most of this generation is under control they are their mechanical slaves |

well here is how i interepted thse lyrics yafter paying attention to them the first time this song definetly seems to be about the use of psychedelic drugs i heard this song and payed attention the first time i ever experienced a trip it seems like it was made to be listened to while tripping and it will explain to you whats going on and relax you and set you into it more so im kind of explaining what the song seems to be able to do to you while using psychedelic drugs listen was that you always on this is like all these flowing crazy thoughts that are coming is this really me waht the hell is going on and its like the mind just cant shutoff if and when that's true waitng stops its like you get this understanding of just what is going on and your just in this amazing state and time (waiting) no longer has any meaning within moments new anchor drops it's like within so little time you are just having so many amazing beautiful thoughts that seem to make sense and everything breathe easy especially the way he says the words its just like a reminder of what is going on + a soothing relaxing sound the less you have to offer the less you stand to loose kind of a complicated line to explain but it fits and makes sense with the other lyrics overal think slowly this is another soothing calming down lyric like before the more you have invested the more you care to claim maybe this is like the more you have understood how to get into a clear perception from the drug and its practice the more amazing and beautiful and understood it seams dream focused, as often as you've wandered you carry to much weight kinda hard to put into words again but carrying to much weight is your like holding too many things that seem wrong and to be problems but your mind is fine and really doesnt need to hold them and they are just an illusion the two lines breathe easy and think slowly its like if you hear how they are said in the stuff on those drugs it would also just calm you let you get a better udnerstanding of what is happening at the moment rather than just twaeking out about crazy thoughts you might be having also in the very end of the song in a weird random trip type voice it says "door's closing" this kind of refers to the doors of perception closing and coming down back to reality |

| Nine Inch Nails – With Teeth Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
to me this song is describing something, such as a relationship or a drug that has such a power that it just rips through your soul and changes you. the lines are basically like what you were and believed before (like a barcode) but then this "thing" comes along and the lines blur and change they are no longer the same and you are different the title then refers to that the album has that same driving effect and power |

| Phish – Character Zero Lyrics | 21 years ago |

And things are true that I forget But no one taught that to me yet no one has commented on this part yet for me this lyric reminds me of the times when i am stoned and an amazing beautiful philisophical thought floats into my head but is then after instantly forgotten |

| Grateful Dead – What's Become Of The Baby Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I was reading the lyrics and listening to this song for awhile trying to understand it. The song is strange and unique. Garcia has been quoted as saying that the key to listening to the song is to get some nitrous oxide. Here is what i have come up with. All the beauties being described in the song is your mind as a child, beautiful and innocent. Nitrous Oxide can bring a feeling of floating. Maybe what Garcia meant was that the song represents the child and innocence floating away from your body. And then you are left as an adult trapped with delusions of living and dead. | |

majii said: "I always thought it's a pretty good musical picture of what cocaine is like. A little bit evil. And hard-edged. And also that sing-songy thing, because that's what it is, a sing-songy thing, a little melody that gets in your head." definetly. was my first reaction upon listening. |

| Marilyn Manson – (s)AINT Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I read a review that marilyn manson was in a while ago and manson said that it was a common misconception that it was about rose mcgowen. It's really about his relationship with the world and how people use him like a few people mentioned at first. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Marquis in Spades Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I tnink that this song is about Marquis De Sade and his philosiphies and what he did in his life. As you can see Marquis is in the title and also is about rape or taking a girl virginity to humiliate them. | |

| David Bowie – Space Oddity Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Definetly about Apollo 13 which was made in 1995. I agree that the song is about drug addiction or overdose. Most likely heroin from the hints in "Ashes to Ashes." |
