I disagree that the above lyrics are actually what is being sung, regardless of the source. Here is what I hear when I listen acutely. Perhaps second is a message to Americans, and how they play this conflict, as it is indeed their money that contributes to it, knowingly or not. It is a 'cliché', as the world is good and sick of this foolishness, and it is 'American' because, again, the people of the U.S.A. fund this conflict to the tune of $94,156,200,000 (from 1949 on and including 2005 proposal). Underneath, however, the Semites want to let the old hatreds die, and treat each other as equals, but to do so they may need to abandon their respective religions. |
