I agree with what cheerupemokid said 100%. It makes perfect sense. That's probably the T line he took to visit her. And the part about "you're what makes New England so great" makes sense too, since Boston is in New England, but New York (Long Island, where Jesse's from) isn't. And he's saying she's the only good thing about New England, which makes sense too, because New England is boring as hell. Yeah, just a side note: Last night I was driving through Government Center and it reminded me of this song. |

It sort of ruins the song for me now that I realize it's about writing a filler song. I always thought of it like this... "This is a lesson in procrastination I kill myself because I'm so frustrated And every single second that I put it off means another lonely night I gotta race the clock" ....About how he keeps putting off killing himself . (I kill myself because I'm so frustrated, And every single second that I put it off )-I always thought that meant that IT meant killing himself, every single second that he puts killing himself off means another lonely night, etc. But now I understand what everyone's been saying about what it really means and it makes sense and all but it kind of ruins the song for me. |

personally i agree with damnationbegins sort of. people are always commenting on mineral songs with stuff about christ, and it just ruins the song for me. it just takes everything i thought it meant and complete changes it and it's really frustrating. anyway, this is a beautiful song, no matter what it's about specifically. why can't it mean different things to different people? |
