My dad thinks this one is about drugs. I think it's a story about sticking rocks up his nose when he was little. A lot of Hayden's songs, especially on this first album, were about memories or fantasies, all of which seem to have been inspired by "actual" events. It's just a simple story, but Zen-wise it's much more than that. |

Hayden always does a perfect job of allowing the listener to feel the character in the song. This example is no different, with a sloppy harmonica and very straightforward lyrics. |

He's trying to do something good, but ends up screwing things up agian. No hidden meanings here. I used to listen to this over and over in high school. I always seemed to do or say the wrong thing and the worst time, and this really summed up my life at the time. |
