This is quite possibly the most dance-able song ever. I'm not a big dance girl, but when I heard this at the Faint concert, I couldn't help it... |

I can't believe only one person has commented on this song. It's amazing; one of the shortest yet most complete descriptions of how it feels to be on drugs. Then again, as a (former) "druggie," I'm biased. |

It's "John A. Hobson," actually. But yeah, brilliant song. I agree, totally the best song on "Digital Ash In a Digital Urn." |

I love this song. It reminds me of how the druggies get high, the drunks get wasted, the Catholics pray, but in the end they're all just looking for answers and redemption. Although I relate to the drunk much better. ...and it does remind me of Mr. Roger's neighborhood. Eerily so. |

This is definitely one of my favorite NMH songs. I can really relate to it... it's about a troubled girl who was trying to escape her problems through the obvious means: drugs, sex, and cigarettes. Her family doesn't pay attention to her while she's alive, other than to write off. Like so many other families, they are simply to concerned with themselves to truly reach out to the troubled girl. Finally, the girl hangs herself on her birthday. Finally, her family realizes how disturbed the girl was, but they're too late to help her. |

I could relate this song to drugs... but I see that's already been done. I love this song... it's probably the emo anthem of the 90's. |

Maybe it is "vent work", but sometimes the most honest songs can be the most powerful. Even though it's not as lyrically/melodically intricate, I still think this is one of Conor Oberst's greatest songs.... I think everyone can relate to it on some level. |
