I think it is about a one night stand, but i think he begins to want it to be more than that. i think here hes 'breaking away' from that life into one where hes with someone he loves, and gets something out of it. i get that feeling from those two lines, 'some to take my mind/pants off...' ..amazing song. |

in the first 2 sections he seems to say that he lives by his instincts and desires for women. the third section is my favorite, its like the next morning after a one night stand. i think my favorite line is 'my heart beating in my head' in reference to a hang over.
i dont understand the pharmacist and his wife line. i guess i should read that book. i get the feeling that he regrets his lifestyle. pietro crespi and his newer songs seem to reflect that too. this is one of my favorites. |

| Owen – You Should Do It Now While It's On Your Mind Lyrics

ive been listening to it a lot, its definitely "Its not easy being - " Then he goes into the "I-I know." But I think its more an implied "Its not easy being (friends)". He tends to sing about a particular break up with a girl. I think hes friends with her now, and he still wants to be back together with her. like, "its your last chance to change things" is sort of him telling either himself or her that this is it, its his last chance to get back together with her.
so i think he implies there that its not easy being friends with her. |

just from reading some of the words in it like "have faith," "wrongdoing," and "conscience" the reference to "blue lady" might be the bible's Mary. just a thought... |

yea, secretly famous, thats a very in depth way of looking at it, but you might be making more of this song than what was intended. he only really explains the feelings of a plane ride and never relates it to a relationship at all. you did that all yourself. i think u might be giving ben more credit than he deserves for this.
