| paco123, your interpretation of the title of the song (peephole on a door u can look out from in but not in from out,thats how i feel high) is interesting but i cant seem to understand how you feel despite the fact that i am also a "pothead". Could you please explain in more detail. No one has commented on the title of the song. Why is it called "peephole"?. I think peephole also relates to schizophrenia which usually characterized by withdrawal from reality, illogical patterns of thinking, delusions, and hallucinations. Schizophrenia is one of the long term side effects achieved by genetic, other biological, psychosocial factors and excessive pot use. The constant buzz i feel whether or not i smoke weed is an extremely mild case of schizophrenia especially when i see shit that isnt there for like a split second. | |

i think ''i am just a man fighting other man for land while i turn to sand'' is all about war. Where do the bodies of the dead soldiers go after they die? They sometimes get buried and therefore turn to sand... There is a minor mistake in the lyrics, instead of: Ego brain That makes shame, shame love after it rains Its: Ego Brain Man-made shame. War is nothing but egocentric. It is created from fear... fear of loss of money, power, obsession. The system teaches us that we are nothing without money. I think the first verse is a very important teaching Life is but a dream Drifting on a stream, a stream Consciously it seems The many minds that are dominated by the system, believe that life is real. But what is reality and how can we tell real from fake? If anybody has deeply analysed 'The Matrix' then they might understand what im talking about. The verse: You see my pain is real Watch my world dissolve and pretend that none of us see the fall could possibly be about the pain created once an individual realises the fabrication of the world. Pretending that "none of us see the fall" is about the way people live their lives pretending to know what life is all about. I dont know the purpose of our existence and i honestly dont know what keeps my alive but im probably just insane. Oh and one more thing, if serj believes life is a dream, then when are we awake? | One thing that really helped me understand these lyrics is that instead of "im just demeaning the pack" Serj definitly says Im just the meaning of pi (as in the mathematical symbol) This means that humanity will continue like the neverending pi (3.14blablabla) this is where reincarnation takes place, not only reincarnation of self, but also of the planet. After each reincarnation of the world itself, the world improves until it reaches the perfect enlightened state as a whole. But nothing can ever be perfect so we will go round and round in circles just like pi. So Serj says FUCK THE SYSTEm cuz the system is whats pulling us back from achieving not a perfect world but a much better one than this shithole. REVOLUTION THE ONLY SOLUTION!! WEVE TAKEN ALL THE SHIT NOW ITS TIME FOR RESTITUTION (P.L.U.C.K.). can somebody please tell me what the 'SYSTEM' means to them and why does Serj want to 'FUCK' it?, i would really appreciate learning from other peoples opinions, it could help in achieving Serj's interpretaion. | |

It always makes me laugh bacause of the way Serj sings and screams and how the guitar and drums make you feel like youre being chased e.g. advertisings got you on the run. Hehehe watch people chasing after bargains at a department store and listen to this song at the same time... its so ironic.
