Wow..I'm surprised no one has commented on this song. THis is one of my top fav Type O songs. I think it's about someone that has lost a wife, husband, girlfriend, or boyfriend, and they are experiencing the first Christmas without them. It's really sad. I can only imagine what CHristmas without a loved one would be like. |

This is one of the most emotional, beautiful songs by NIN or any other band that I've ever heard. I can still remember the first time I heard it. I felt the pain conveyed in the lyrics. Still to this day, over 10 years later, I still want to curl up in a ball and cry when I hear this song. I still get chills and feel a twinge of pain in my heart. I listen to it a lot when I'm depressed. I'm such a codependent. I rely on relationships to make me happy. When things are great, I forget all about all the pain I've felt in my life. "You make it all go away." But then, the relationship ends, and I"m left wanting something I can never have-someone to love me as much as I love them. |

This song is about Kurt living under a bridge. The lyrics say exactly what happened while living there. He felt so much for the animals he trapped to eat that he coudln't kill them, except of course fish. He says there's something in the way because he wanted to set up his tent somewhere else, and something was in the way of where he wanted to set it up. |

I think this song is monumental in the death of Kurt Cobain. From what I've heard, this is one of the last songs Kurt wrote before his death. I think it's his good-bye to Courtney. He was planning on leaving her the day he died, but that crazy woman got a hold of him first. This song isn't about his suicide at all. Courtney had him killed. She tried to hire someone a few months before he died, and she hired someone to try to kill her dad too. |
