while i agree with the religous undertones, listening to the album everythign seems to be interconnected, and the angels that are being reffered to can also be just one angel who was once loved, and is now lost, depending on your beliefs, angels could mean a girl, a guy, your faith, your god ect it's rather deep and beautifully depicted |

"It doesn't mean a thing" refers to the lines precedding it
"Doesn't have to feel love
Doesn't care to be love" because just because others or even yourself is not sure that is in fact love, it doesn't matter because you know that the feelings you have are strong, and want them to be unique to you |

i think that a lot of people can relate to this song, i know many friends who were in relastionships where they kidded themselves into thinking there was something real, and really it was just a lie, but they'd believe it all just because he say "i love you" and i think this song conveys that msg very well, i've tried to write song/poems with this theme and it's hard so this song just talks to me all the more
one of the best lines in all their songs has to be "i'll believe, all your lies, just pretend you love me" cause i think most ppl have felt this way at some point, or have dealt with someone who's felt this way, or both! |
