ok, i do like this song for the most part, but i am disappointed with the album as a whole, there are several really good songs, and the rest are on the bad side...sounds like a compromise, prolly has to do with apc rushing to get the album out by nov 2nd...but damn. i did buy the album and enjoy listening to some of it nevertheless. Maynard is a genious, but for once, i feel a little let down...ill cut them a break because of the rush of the album to get it released though. Billy did do a pretty good job with this song though. |

i've been an in flames fan for quite some time now, and i'd have to agree that they did go a little downhill, they seemed to compromise their usual style to appeal to a broader audience, at least that's how it appears...anyways, it's still good music. calling it talentless is udderly ridiculous, it's full of talent, just in a different style. I can't say im completely happy with soundtrack to your escape, but in flames is still alive and well, and that can't be denied, and as far as the lyrics comment....wut the hell r u talkin about judd??? anders' lyrics are just as good now as they've always been, i dunno where that came from. though there are alot less of the double guitars on this cd, that kinda sux, but it's still a good cd, just different. |

are you people brain dead??? we never said that being popular makes them sell outs, we said that kissing mtv's ass makes them sell outs, which it does. if the only goal a band has is to be famous and get rich, they should just put down their instruments and walk away. music is about emotion, not money, and as soon as it becomes about money, that's the beginning of the end. no band is perfect by any means though. i have no problems with this band, or this song musically, i do have problems with what people call them, they call them punk, which is an untrue statement. a while ago i hated this band, as you can tell by earlier posts, but now i just hate how they're associated as "punks" because they aren't. musically, not bad, not wonderful, but ok. but we need more bands that aren't afraid to speak their minds. so if we're to point the finger at anyone, the fingers should all be pointing at the destroyer of all that is music: mtv. |

i wouldn't worry about it gloria, brand new doesn't to me seem like the sort of band theat would get popular and then change their image and sell out, but then again i don't know much about them. I do like this song though, one of two brand new songs i have heard so far...(sorry i'm more of a tool fan myself) the only thing that bothers me a little about brand new, are the random intervals of yelling. I have no problem with yelling, but these intervals are never strategically placed. But hey, it's still a good song, and brand new is one of very few newer bands who wasn't manufactured to please the general public, and for that i salute them. there is some real lyrical depth to this song...cool |

After researching this list of comments further, i have come to the conclusion that kristen indeed is between the ages of four and six. "very very mean"...ok. and here's my opinion on how people are saying that she's young and doesn't know any better:
I myself was in a similar position when i was young. I listened to "pop" and basically everything that was manufactured without talent. But...it was people like these who have voiced there opinions on why this kind of music is b.s. that turned me away from it. (that and the influence of some good friends). It opened my eyes, i finally saw what was wrong with listening to this crap (after about two or three shameful years of it...) And now, i am a very opinionated "rock" (as it was called) listener. I think it as almost my duty to tell other people what is wrong with this crap. I am sorry to those I offend, but then again, people take too many things offensively anyways. I however, do feel sory for blatanly insulting kristen, i got a little off track there, so i appologize. but to kristen: i hope that our comments on what is wrong with this song hasn't gone in and out of your head...i hope they make you think, and i wish luck to you on finding some better music cause...you couldn't be listening to worse music right now. good luck. But do not insult bands you have never heard of, we have the right to insult aaron carter (we've seen, we've heard, we know what kind of crap he produces) But, we can't take this too far or we will be hypocrits. Kristen, listen to one tool song and i think your way of thinking about music will change. |

i kno im a little late on this one, but whoever heard a rumor about tool breaking up, last i heard they were trying to get a new album recorded, so no they aren't breaking up. People think that after every tool album is released because they take longer than other bands to produce new material. But if they keep releasing things as good as they have been, i don't think anyone should complain about the wait.
Anyway, i also think that this song is a test, but it is also a joke. They are testing people to see who is judgmental and will label them. The song is industrial sounding and the german adds to the creepy affect...so alot of people assume either satanism or nazism...which is STUPID!!! It's a recipe, and the whole joke is that people judge it, and then find out it's translation, and look and feel like complete morons. i think this is a brilliant idea. |

and if you like the genre, at least listen to some creative and decent artists who aren't afraid of not being the posterchild mtv bands. try listening to AFI, Green Day, or the Sex Pistols for example. At least they have some complete thoughts other than being conformists like a lot of other "punk" bands these days. bands like that don't even deserve the punk title, yellowcard and all bands like them should be referred to as the sheep genre. |
