A deeper interpretation... In my eyes, indisposed In disguise as no one knows [This is written from the "first person" viewpoint. The first person according to Traditional legends was the Sun King and this is about his return. This lament supposes how he would be disturbed to find society and civilization in such a state of degeneration as it happens to currently be compared to what it used to be and what it could be.] Hides the face, lies the snake The sun in my disgrace [As the first stanza states, no one recognizes him or understands that possiblilities exist in life and that it holds mysteries and hidden meanings that are worth uncovering. The snake is the understanding of the axis and pole cosmos of the planet and the snake is now viewed as "the devil" or "scary satan monster" but is nothing but is slander to him.] Boiling heat, summer stench 'Neath the black the sky looks dead [People react emotionally to everthing, including him, and turn summer into a stench and reminder of pollution on the planet and within the souls of people who have forgotten their heritage and culture. This is why he refer's to the sky being dark since the sun is shining but it matter's to no one and many resembls the living dead.] Call my name through the cream And I'll hear you scream again [The people that realize that it is the Sun King can't believe its true since now no one will believe them when they tell others the good news. So they scream again as if the Sun King is a controller of reality and this is not what he is. ] Black hole sun Won't you come And wash away the rain Black hole sun Won't you come Won't you come [If you understand the preceding lyrics then this chorus speaks for itself.] There is more to interpret but I doubt any one cares to believe this since only bad news is wanted in this world and people have come to crave bad news and do not recognize good news anymore. "No one sings like you anymore!" |

Religious undertones are lacking since they are overt overtones and the symbolism of HWY sung "highway" is clear as a bel-teshazzar. The song's idea came from the car crash article but the meaning of the song was not in question nor answered, since this issue is easily misunderstood by sensitive people. "And when the car broke down they started walking" means that when they died their "shadows" went looking for the Judeo-Christian illusions they were expecting to find after their bodies dropped out from under their consciousness. Indeed! Where were they going? They were never told the way to that which does not exist. This is irrelevent to life being eternal. At least, that is the way some preceive this. |

The song's meaning is clear. The tv need the moron to project its moronic thoughts into. It needs to blow its load in their minds. They don't want to let the tv down. That is their purpose. They wouldn't have it any other way. Conversation is meaningless to these people. No one on tv has a long involved conversation. Like that wood be weird u know i have broken thoughts... not thinking skills have... proud of idot be i ... smily face moron... symbols talk deep... meen much deepness... smart me is... tv good consumer of me... |

| Beck – The Golden Age Lyrics | 21 years ago |

This song is similar to many and the song "California" by phantom planet comes to mind when I hear this song. The song suggests the experience of returning to Traditional values and meaning of the Solar or Sun cultures of the past. From aztecs to norwegians this worldview is well known in European cultures but almost unheard of in the States. The vedas write about an age called Kali Yuga which is our present age and it is also known as the age of Iron. The dark age. Where nilhism and decadense rule and people are isolated from truth, meaning, and values. The return to the golden age is about this time and the changes to come. Those who have been good students of culture and history will understand this interpretation. Writers like Julius Evola are authors who explained clearly how this age has come to be as it is and what can be done to survive it. The golden age is the cycle following the end of the iron age and is likely to end in a destructive way as current events clearly show. The song is a strong reminder of how the fire of truth can be as effective as any nuclear force can be in changing things. Although, the truth is the much prefered fire of change compared to its alternative! Let the Golden Age Begin! |

The people here who feel the spirit of the song suggests being homesick is proof that the spirit of the past "is" preserved in music and is speaking to people although most have no clue what it is exactly. The song California has a deeper interpretation. The "Golden State" is what they mean and returning to the Golden Age is what they are siging about. In this view, the comos is understood as a set of cycles and the cycles repeat, thus "right back where we started from" is made sense of. The reference is from the solar traditional cultures of the past who wrote about the age of Iron or Kali Yuga which is our present age. One of Four ages, our current one, the iron age, is the dark age of violence and decadence and is the last age before the return to Tradition or the Golden Age. Writers like Julius Evola and others have written much about this. The lines "on the stereo, listen as we go" refers to how this theme is sung about by many others and can be heard in countless other songs which are differnent yet all of them are singing about the same things. This insight or understanding of returning home and leaving our present modern world and its nilhistic, souless, and decimated culture is the sign that the spirit is alive and gathering strength for this return. Beck is another artist who sings about this "the golden age" in his song of this title. Once you experience the music and lyrics of California with this understanding, something quite amazing takes you over and you begin to hear the spirit everywhere. I once heard that the simple answers are always lies and compromises. Thus, the answers are in the details where they have been preserved for those who deserve them, while at the same time being invisible to those who go through life superficially. California Here We Come!...again! |

| The Vapors – Turning Japanese Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Some artists actually put more thought into their art than many would guess. The masses may believe this is just another "whip it" song like Devo but it is not. The song is about the experience of returning to Tradition. Solar tradition is what this refers to. Japan was the last culture to date which understood this tradition and most people might recall the Rising Sun emblem on their flag during WWII. The bridge of the song that talks about no sex, no wine, etc. is due to the results of nilhism and everthing is impersonal and sterile. Culture has been decimated and everyone is a individual that is seperate from the group or the whole. This is also reinforced by the fact that pictures of people become who they are and not what is on the inside of them. Everything in this dead culture is measured by appearances only and not substance. Thus, he is turning Japanease or back to Solar traditions of the past which fortold of the Kali Yuga or Iron Age that currently causes people to look for the easy and simple answers to everthing. No, this song is not about masterbation although that is certainly a habit that masks a simple need to have sex but in a society that is seperated and divided. The spirit of the people has been turned against them by monotheism and its plauge like effects. | |
