There are a number of errors to the lyrics, but the song was inspired by an incident in which Jay was observing his wife by a river. The actual story he told was about nine minutes and very rambling, but that's the jist. |

| Jump, Little Children – Easter Parade Lyrics

At a show way back when, Jay explained that he wrote this song when he was at a parade, where a girl, who had apparently set herself on fire, ran out in front of the band, stopped, and yelled "I'm in love!" Someone, Jonny I believe, suggested that she was trampled to death, but Jay said that he didn't know. |

According to Jay, this (and several other songs from the album, including "Lover's Greed") is about falling in love with his girlfriend and now wife, Stacey. |

According to Jay's very loooong story about this song, it revolves around an incident that took place in New York. The short version is that he, Chris, and Evan partook in the consumption of a certain drug...LSD...that he can't name...LSD...at a party...LSD. Chris got rather weird under the influence, and at one point tried to call his girlfriend but got the wrong number and kept saying "is Rachel there? facial hair" over and over. Yeah. Interesting story. |

Matt explained at Dock Street XIII that this song was written for Lauren about a hypothetical situation. He also noted "the Singer has not stopped singing... for me." |

Jay wrote it on the way back from their awful winter in Boston, it was one of the songs he wrote about the places they travelled through on the way to Charleston. |

I also heard Jay tell the story at the solo show, but I also heard somewhere that he wrote "Cathedrals" after wandering around at night in New York and looking at St. Patrick's |
