I saw somewhere that I remember thinking was pretty reliable read the lyrics as: beetles, under my carpet, under my feet, they come out in the heat I think the misinterpretation's due to his weird accent and the way the synth sort of distorts a few of the harder consonants. And I don't think it really means anything. It's more of the image you get than what it's supposed to represent. It's like a little mini-limerick about kids staring at bugs out of boredom and curiosity, except it's done from RDJ's slightly twisted perspective. |
