My eric is convinced that this song is about a relatively destitute boy being offered a house-boy sort of position. He rides a decrepit bike, doesnt have any nice clothes and that one of them is a jumped-up country boy (a person just come into money I think he said) I'm of the innocent experimentation camp myself with the possibility of leaving the contrived engagement behind. |

Now this is a great song. As much as I like Davey to sing me something that I know, this is a new favorite (newer). They really did an excellent job in reforming their sound while holding true to their audience. |

This is a very awkward point in this guys life. He is trying to start this romance with this man/woman however how does he start? He is a college drop out/graduate who is untravelled. He isnt one of those people that knows everything about music and whose favorite part of vacation is which shoes he will wear. He has spent his summers in park (not drive or neutral, probably sexual reference) and he is at a loss as to how to start this romance comfortably. |

Bucky grew old (bald) so fast because of how routine he lived his life (always wearing his hat of proffessionality, societal roles etc). She/he to whom he is singing is colder than oldness though. She/he hasn't lived that long (is colder than oldness meaning still has hair, and is cold from not experiencing the fire of life yet). me and bug thoughts dont get along though. |
