I can't believe how many people have missed the point on this one. Internet fighting is totally lame but after reading some of these comments, I am completely agravated. Zacharygarren...I respect your opinion but Conor is not taking any shots at god at all. The song is explaining how Bush believes that God is telling him to stop terrorism and invade Iraq in order to "liberate" the people. Conor is saying Bush is full of shit and God is not telling him to these things. Conor even says "the voice is inside his head" so really its just an attack on Bush. As for black cow of death...you're a fucking nobody. I'd love to hear you sing and write songs. Obviously you're not a fan of Bright Eyes...so I wonder how you ever stumbled upon this song. Did you run a search on Bush bashing songs just so you could insult the artists? You crack me up because in the 10 minutes it probably took you to write your comment, Conor probably sold over a hundred records. Now that's Fucking hysterical. |

I believe that this is one of the greatest songs Conor has even written. In a way, I am more of a disappered fan than a bright eyes fan. I just greatly respect that Conor is able to write about war, the economy, and the ugliness of America. Another great aspect of Desa songs is that most of the fans cannot relate to the lyrics. I'm sick of fans that listen to bands and say "i love this band, i know exactly what the band is going through". Why is it that we have experience (or claim that we've experienced) what a band goes through in order to love them? I just love and respect Conor because of his opinions, views, and messages on war and the state of the nation. |

According to their website...the band is called Eisley...for no special reason...it just is. Eisley is a great band, all of their songs/melodies seem to stick in your head...but in a good way. Jesse Lacey once said in an interview that Eisley is so good that he's afraid that he might not listen to anything else. I'd have to agree with Jesse. |

This song is beautiful...I love the bass line in the verse as well as the rockin' guitar solo. In my opinion, this is the best song on the cd. Rilo Kiley is a extremely talented band and T.E.O.A.T. is an album that every saddle creek fan should own. |

The Pixies, Modest Mouse, 764 Hero, and all of the other bands mentioned above are all very talented...regardless of your opinion. Yes, its good to have opinions..but be fair..respect the talent. Anyways...I believe this is the best song on the cd. I love the chorus...it just gives you that felling, that sort of chill runs all over your body and you just know that it is a brilliant song. BTS rocks. |

Its unfortunate that this song isn't longer...it is very beautiful. I can't really single out any of the songs because they are all unbelievable but this song will literally stick to your brain. I love the "erieness" of the cello in the beginning and also that sweet guitar riff before the chorus. |
