Collective Soul – December Lyrics 21 years ago
This song has very Christian underpinnings as do many Collective Soul songs (Run, The World I Know, Shine, Simple to name a small sample). "cup runneth over" is a direct quote from Psalm 23:5, he's just playing with context by saying "Your" instead of "My." He also references the common sins of our day: Ambiance and Vanity, our "basic needs." The song is a subtle blend of social commentary in light of Christian ideals. I think you'll fin these guys are no ordinary rock band if you listen to the songs I mentioned. Very good music.

Rush – 2112 Lyrics 22 years ago
I agree with Frank - fantastic band, my favorite hands down. I must say, however, that Caress is a great album. The necromancer and the Fountain are great songs - great guitar work, good storyline (the fountain is based on an Ayn Rand book of the same name about a quest for the fountain of youth). Bastille day is great, and lakeside park is fun and reminiscent. In comparison to 2112, and to may of their other albums, Caress is not a staple. But the album as a standalone is a good piece of work. I think I'm going bald is rockin' and funny as well, a refreshing departure from the typical deep thinking tune.

Ben Folds Five – Brick Lyrics 22 years ago
This song confuses me. Why on earth would anyone feel bad after an abortion? After all, it's reproductive freedom! It a woman's freedom to choose granted to her by the supreme court! The march in washingon lask week (800,000 strong!) proved that millions of Americans are in favor of safe, legalized abortion. Abortion is a harmless operation comperable to getting widsom teeth removed - in fact, it's even easier. So why all the heartache? Just wondering.
