| ooooookay. once again, i feel originally, through dustins mind,this song was religiously based. for me though, i feel this song is talking bout losing direction, maybe through depression, in other words losing ur orbit. yeah i mean i been there before, we prob all have, where something really upsets u and u jus dunno which way to go, its like life has escaped u and like u so badly, jus wanna perfect whatever has got u down, and u jus cant. relationships seem to do this :P jus my thoughts though | |

| ok, this song, i feel is to do with well hmm, i dunno, i kinda looked at it from two angles, theirs, and mine. ok, so people say thrice aint a christian band, fine, but i feel, they were aiming at a kinda faith in religion with this song, how people r ignorant, well in their eyes. ok i dun believe that though, im non religious, to me this song has to do yeah with ignorance, but maybe an ignorace, yeah in our social ways, i mean ok, its true, our moral standards r falling, ill agree with that. this song is about how we follow the social standards, and if its socially right, then thats all that matters. so yeah thats what i feel, they r jus trying to say, open up ur eyes, jus cause its what uve known all ur life, it dun mean its right, think for urself in other words, use ur conscience. | |

| hmm, naaa id agree with u, and also holkseye, i feel he pretty much summed it up in three words, love transcends all, thats all there is to it really. Great song though, taken from a great poem, very meaningful, love lyrics and poems that make u think (im sad i know), but yeah, thrice r an awesome band, i jus hope they start getting more popular over here in aussie land | |

| Alrigh, i been listening to thrice, for like i dunno two and a half years, i got all three f their cds, and in no way do i think they have sold out, ok, they changed record labels....kinda, but they r still the same, teppei is still a god on the guitar and dustin is an amazing singer/song writer, so yeah , well i really dun see the point of a couple of people even posting in here. neways yeah onto the song, im not christian, but i do realise that three of the four will say they r christians, so i aint doubting that this song, to dustin and maybe some of the other band members, has got christian meanings behind it, but to me, being non christian, and knowing what christianity is all bout, seeing as my parents r christians, and i used to go myself, until, i saw it as illogical. i find this song, is bout temptation, maybe a relationship gone wrong through cheating, or jus something he has a prob with, but i did notice, the stolen water is sweet part. well water is a liquid all life has to consume one way or another to live. soooooo, i find, that this temptation is so strong to him, that its became somewhat a need, not just a comfort etc. jus my thoughts though | |
