im not so sure what it really means. but i think its like, he would rather lose her now, then like you know hang on to it then lose her later. like get over the pain as soon as possible, then dragging more pain/feelings into it. oh, i think so many people can relate to this. pete yorn writes super duper lyrics. =)) |

i think hes been in love with this girl. i think, theyve been having a platonic relationship, or the girl just doesnt want to commit. so, this song is like, "heyyy, cmon lets go. lets move on to another level." cos hes 'getting old' and 'tired'. and now, he feels like hes losing this girl. 'this could be the end of everything' and 'simple thing where have you gone?' i guess, he wants everything back to normal and more. haha, this is my guess. =) |

okay, my take, isnt "theres no one else to finger" suppose to mean, like no one else to blame? whats with the sexual references? i thot it was pretty strait cut, that line. i think, its about her, disappointing someone really important. and telling that person, that she admits it, here comes the part "theres no one else left to finger" - that its her fault. but shes asking for a chance, saying everyones innocent, everyone makes mistakes. i THINK. heh. =) |

i just read about him in this month's TeenVogue, and then saw him on MTV. hmm, pretty good stuff. COME OONNNNN! hahhaa. my take is, he was in a relationship with a girl. then she went away. and now, hes wondering where he went wrong. like hey what happened? "where did she go? how did she go?" and now... hes yearning for her, cos he thot this was IT. the real thing, he felt that they realling "belonged". typical love song, but niceee. i likee~ |
