| Sondre Lerche – Suffused With Love Lyrics

It seems like someone who is bitter about being unsuccessful with love. Clearly, it sounds as if his competition is someone who is pulling tang all over the place and the object of the singer's affection has a crush on this guy so much that he is either not considered or has been friend zoned as a result.
Beautiful song though. Wish I could find a tab. |

| Blue Öyster Cult – Harvest Moon Lyrics

Blue Oyster Cult common sings about mysterious and spooky stuff. To me, this song is about a haunted area where stuff comes out at night around the harvest moon perhaps the ghosts of those that the Spaniards killed. That's why earlier settlers livestock started disappearing and they sold the land. The guy who owns it after him talks about how there hasn't been any trouble in a decade which is followed by the new owner's daughter disappearing.
I guess the reason I say this is because at the end of the song, it talks about how they all get found someday, in the same way. Obviously, they're all found dead.
A spooky, eerie song that I think is their best. I'm also an autumn baby so I have a special love for the song too. |

| Mos Def – Rock N Roll Lyrics

Clearly the fact that people think the song is anti-white, full of lies and the whole gamut of indignant responses just goes to prove the necessity of this song to educate some minds to stir up some thought. Admittedly I've already heard this criticism of older rock music many times over since I'm black.
As said before, it's just that early black musicians were not given as much recognition for a style that they clearly cultivated while it was adored by other artists and performers. Don't be mad because you don't want to think about your beloved artists as products of latent racist tendencies of the time period. I mean, they were good musicians, but they sure didn't give credit where it was due. *shrug*
It makes me wonder why black people don't rock out more/listen to rock more though. |

| Porcupine Tree – Lightbulb Sun Lyrics

This song definitely doesn't seem like it has to do with nostalgia. I can see the drug themes in the song, but those could just be imagined. After all, sometimes we see what we want to see.
This definitely talks about someone who is bedridden for whatever reason. Could be drugs, could be an illness. That would explain why a light bulb would be a sun for him since he's inside all the time. |

Nice popish progressive band. Anyway, I like this CD and this song specifically. Does anyone know what the album is specifically about? |

| Sondre Lerche – Suffused With Love Lyrics

Seems like it's about a guy who doesn't know how to get girls. It's like the stereotypical nerd and jock to me, the nerd being the guy whose viewpoint the song is from.
Actually, it seems like it's one girl the singer is preoccupied with. I say that because the last verse seems like he gets shot down by the girl that maybe is a friend of his that treats him like the best male friend. Heh, maybe it's not just one girl that does it to the guy in this song. |

I fell in love with this song when I first heard it. It's been 4 years since I heard this song and I still love it. I didn't know there was an alt version though. I have to check it out now. |

| Porcupine Tree – Open Car Lyrics

I think it is about an affair. That sounds like a good assumption. Open Car to me sounds like a reference to the affair where the woman is just a temporary passenger that sort of hopped in and could just as easily leave like that. Probably a stretch though. |

| The Smashing Pumpkins – Galapogos Lyrics
| 20 years ago

I'm not sure if anyone already pointed this out, but I figure the song's title gives a major key as to what it is partially about. Galapogos refers to the islands where Darwin got some evidence for his theory on evolution.
I think the song has to deal with the evolution of a person within a relationship. Perhaps it just has to do with the evolution of the relationship itself. You get micro and macroevolution right there. I wonder if anyone understood that. |

| Dream Theater – About to Crash (Reprise) Lyrics

It's crazy, just listening to About to Crash and then this. It's just weird after knowing the lyrics better as you can see how they resonate. The way they do the voices at the "semi chorus" is just perfect. A completely calm and fluid voice for such a set of distraught thoughts. Absolutely genius. |

| Radiohead – Black Star Lyrics

This is my favorite Radiohead song because of its simplicity in style, background sounds and lyrics. The whole transition through the song really gets to me with the last lines before the chorus. "What am I coming to? I'm gonna meltdown."
Just mindblowing. |

This song is a continuation of You Always Say Goodnight, Goodnight. You'll know this if you have the CD as they are back to back and there's no pause between them. Fitting the two together gives it much more meaning than having it stand alone. |

| Oleander – Come To Stay Lyrics

This is a great song. It appears to me to be about a guy who wants an exclusive relationship with a girl who's afraid of commitment. It took me a while to get it, but now that I see that, it's clearer than day.
By the way, this is my absolute favorite band. |

I have the cd and this is my favorite song on it and I have to say, someone needs to fix these lyrics. I'd do it if I knew how to. |
