I think Kurt was way more sensitive than people like smashingrocker give him credit for. He was a sensitive, intelligent (believe it or not) person who I think despite of his drug problems and his bipolar illness had a lot of love in him and was a very caring person. Take the message in the CD sleeve for example, about how gay-bashers, misogynists, rascists and rapist could all go fuck themselves or some such...I don't know, I perosnally haven't read it. But just, come on people, like wolfperson1 said, let's not tarnish his memory by talking crap about him like smashingrocker. |

Really, does anyone give a crap whether HIM are satanic or not? (and they're not, by the way. Valo is Jewish.) At the end of the day it's just good music. Why post here if you don't share that opinion? I mean, I hate Britney Spears's tacky, preppy little guts but I'm not about to go find a Britney fansite and flame it. Live and let live, dude. I really like this song, I think that like a lot of other HIM songs it has a lot of emotion in it. Which would make them gothic rocky love metal-y emo, if you wanted to listen to all the labels and get really technical about it. Just thought I'd share that with you all. And by the way I *know* HIM aren't considered 'emo' music, but the definition of emo is heavy, rock or metal music combined with emotional lyrics. Thought I'd say that before someone else called me a dorkbrain. |

| I love this song a lot, but have any of you considered the title of it? 'Poprocks' is a nickname for Ecstasy and 'Coke' is short for cocaine. I prefer to think of it as being nimrod3277's definition, because it's a nice one, but I think the actual meaning is that it's about a person who can count on nothing except drugs which is the only stable point in their life, and drugs are always around for this person in times of need, much like a good friend. | |
