This song is completely literal to me. There is no deeper meaning. He likes to get high. I know this for a fact. I have seen it with my own 2 eyes. I have taken a few hits off his joint. He smokes good weed. Very good weed. |

You are all wrong!!! haha. Once when i was really baked I understood this song. I even smoked with HRC so the herb conveyed its meaning to me. Anyway, this is what it means to me. It is about a fight with a girl who smokes cigarettes. "Why can't you just go outside" means something like "fuck you i am done with this argument. go outside and smoke your cigarette" much as people do when they are stressed. Then he watches her smoke her cigarette and thinks about her "fuck you, ashtray tasting bitch" |

the part that seems to confuse so many:
Someone feed the monkey while I dig in search of China
White as Dracula as I approach the bottom
while he digs in search of china is a metaphor for a futile effort. the ambiguity about whether it is china white or they are two ends of different thoughts is, i believe, intentional. it is both ways. there is meant to be a pause in thought there, but you are also supposed to notice "china white" as a unit. I believe the reference to dracula is pretty simple, just referring to his paleness (dope sick).
BTW: china white is NOT a type of heroin. it is a term for fentanyl which is roughly 40x more potent that heroin. fentanyl is sometimes sold as heroin and as a result causes many OD deaths. |

I think this song is about the author's spiraling addiction to heroin, which has caused him relationship troubles. The 'mask' which he wears and also the reference to fire refer to heroin. Shortly after the introduction, the singer describes his experience with a near fatal overdose. The song then goes on to entail the great pain that has emerged in his life as a result of his opiate use. |
