I think its "lead into gold" too. Also "sent the promise land" not said.
I think this song is about being tired with life, a litte ennui maybe. I think this guy is just run down and lonely and needs to find comfort and home. Home isnt the house where you grew up at a certain point in your life. It seems like he finds it at the end of the song but it took him a long time to get their and now he just wants to rest. Kind of reminds me of Time a little bit.
Great song, can't believe not a very many people have said anything about it. |

Props to wang flop. Well thought out interpretation that holds a lot of water. I personally don’t buy that vampire shit. And contrary to popular belief there is such thing as a wrong interpretation. If I write stop and put it to music and some dumbass interprets that to mean go, their interpretation is wrong. It is the job of the reader to find the writers original intent, not to assign their own meaning. That robs the writer control of his own words and thus their significance. |

yeah, more posts needed on this one. I think song perfectly describes feeling totaly dejected and not being able to do anything but sit there and think how badly its all gone wrong. Even the thought of help is not comforting, whatever that help may be. |
