this song is pretty much straight forward. its about how a woman is getting beaten and no one will get involved.and then one day in an act of desperation she either hospitilizes the guy or kills him and now society has turned their backs on her again calling her this evil person for killing him. when the fact of the matter is if she didnt kill him he was going to kill her. |

as said before elizabeth bathory was a woman that killed a bunch of innocent people and bathed in their blood.(i didnt know why but i guess that was explained eariler though). but how this relates to the song is the song is about how there are typically 2 types of churches(this isnt true with all churches b/c i am a christian myself) the poor churches and the rich churches.and both of them make the members feel as if their postition is okay. the poor churches basically say you dont have a good life here but it will be okay b/c ur riches are in heaven and they bum money off them. and then the rich churches basically say God has blessed you so much here on earth so you should give back to the church what God has given you and not help anyone else. |

i have to agree with cantnokdahustle on this one. i never really thought of the song that way but now that i think of it in that sense its very true.like lines like: "sit and think of all the dollars and the cents" could mean all of the money that bush is spending on this pointless war. and lines like "with all the ghosts of lesser humans, whose lives you split to suit your own" could mean that bush is sending the poor to war just so he can fulfil his agenda and not even thinking of their families and lives they have. |
