| Elvis Costello – Alison Lyrics
|
I think somebody better put out the big light,
cause I can't stand to see you this way.
Alison, I know this world is killing you.
Oh, Alison, my aim is true.
It sounds like he's going to put down a miserably crippled creature and he's reassuring her that "his aim is true", so it will be quick and painless. |

| Against Me! – Baby, I'm an Anarchist! Lyrics
| 20 years ago

I thought the part about solidarity being a four letter word was about voting, "Vote" being the four letter word. Seeing as how liberals believe they can cause great social change through balloting, whereas anarchists believe any part of government only serves to hold society back as a whole. If you're not exactly sure what solidarity is, I suggest checking your dictionary (it's ok... I had to), so you can fully grasp the concept of the word. One thing I don't get about anarchists is the desire to destroy other people's property. If I feel like breaking or burning shit, it's always my own property I'm doing it to. It's very liberating and I recommend it to anyone with pent up rage.
ps- If anyone other than me tries to break or burn my property that's my excuse to fucking kill them with my bare hands and mutilate their corpse with a garden claw. |

| Creedence Clearwater Revival – Effigy Lyrics

This song is about nuclear holocaust. I think it sounds like it might be about a revolution as well. Fogerty was known for putting more than one meaning behind a song's lyrics. Either way it's a great tune... by the way, a rock band by the name of Uncle Tupelo remade this song and it's not too shabby. If you like this song you should check out their version. |

| Clutch – I Have The Body Of John Wilkes Booth Lyrics

I love this fucking song!!! This is very possibly my favorite Clutch song. I laughed my ass off the first time I heard the part about Marlon Brando...classic! As far as I can tell this song is about desparation. The guy in the song has been having extremely bad luck and he happens to stumble across something of potential value, in this case the corpse of a notorious assassin. Even though he knows it's fucked up, he puts the body up for auction, knowing that someone will pay good money for it. How wonderfully morbid. I'm sure this song is probably a stab at the music industry or possibly just society in general. It doesn't matter what it's really about anyway because this song just rocks. That's all I have to say about that. |

| Nirvana – Paper Cuts Lyrics

This is easily my favorite Nirvana song. I don't know if it's their best work and it's certainly not the most popular song but I think it's great. I don't know if any of you have seen "Basketball Diaries" (the book is way more interesting than the movie) but this song makes me think of someone going through heroin withdrawals. Kurt was a junkie after all... But seriously, just listen to the fucked up way he sings it.
I'm not gonna pick it apart line for line or anything like that, so just listen to it again while reading the lyrics and keep in mind that all this shit is like all poetic and shit, a'ight. Of course this is just my interpretation of the song so don't hate me if I'm wrong. |
