| Lacuna Coil – Take Me Home Lyrics | 9 years ago |

Such a strange song. Probably Lacuna Coil's most unusual song in existence. I do think it's about escapism and drugs. Cristina's chorus is like the temptation to use, or perhaps even the experience itself- to take this guy to another world outside of reality, a train to euphoria. "Take me home" probably represents the drug actually killing him. The viscous cycle of drug use can also be symbolized with a train and time running out (tick tock). It's bound to crash at some point. |

| Lacuna Coil – The House of Shame Lyrics | 9 years ago |

It's hard to tell what this song could be about but I feel like it definitely involves institutionalization. I think Andi plays the one struggling with mental illness and Cristina perhaps plays the one who put him there. I think Andi might be dead (suicide) and haunting Cristina. While Cristina is afraid, she feels the guilt and is singing about the happier memories of whoever Andi was to her. I don't know why but I feel maternal vibes from Cristina, like Andi was her son and she betrayed him, and she's almost singing him a lullaby: "But sometimes You will fly with me again Without falling Without falling" It sounds like a peaceful dream of, where they're both together. Maybe an afterlife of some sort. She won't let him down this time. "Sometimes You will find me there again Without mourning Without mourning" This might be part of the song where she commits suicide herself. She's no longer mourning. So maybe they end up together in some afterlife. |

| Lacuna Coil – My Demons Lyrics | 9 years ago |

Ever have a toxic relationship with someone? There's Cristina's side of it, which is the guilt of repeatedly hurting the other person, Andi who is basically sick of the apologies but keeps going back to Cristina. I think this can apply to any type of relationship- lover, friendship, family. "It's either or I kill or I will be killed" If Andi doesn't let this person go, he'll be held down (or killed). At the end of the song, he says he won't be killed. Very sad. |

| Lacuna Coil – Ghost in the Mist Lyrics | 9 years ago |

This song seems to be pretty straight forward from the beginning, "What the hell is going on? Cause everything feels like it’s fading". I feel like it's a phase a lot of us go through- depression and feeling lost. But with Andi's lines, it makes it seem like chronic (long-lasting/severe) depression, and the anger/frustration of being completely stuck with life fading away. "No one showed me the way" That line is the most painful to listen to in my opinion. Cristina is basically saying no one ever attempted to help her to a point where she could be okay. Maybe family or friends let this person down, or tried to help but couldn't because of the stigma surrounding mental health. Very bleak song. |

| Evanescence – Never Go Back Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Amy Lee on "Never Go Back": "It wasn't about my life so much. ... When we first got into pre-production, the earthquakes and tsunami happened in Japan, and we were all just totally glued to paying attention to it, all these incredibly heartbreaking images, and we just [thought], 'Wow,' " she said. "And I was thinking about it a lot. It was consuming my mind, and we were working on that song at the same time. I was kind of working on lyrics at night; we'd practice all day, and I'd go home at night and be working on lyrics by myself. And I came in the next day and was like, 'Guys, I'm going to make this song about the tsunami.' " |

I'm usually open to all sorts of music and I usually don't have a problem with what anyone listens. But let me just say music like this is just completely pathetic. And there's so much of it now. This is the music that kids are growing up with. Music with no meaning. I mean maybe you CAN dance to it or whatever but it's sickening how people find the artist talented... and what's even funnier is that all these women are listening to it. THE SONG BELITTLES WOMEN! This song is disgusting and a complete insult to music as a whole. |

| Evanescence – Cloud Nine Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I honestly thing this song is about giving up beliefs about God. When she sings "If I all, and all is lost- it's where I belong," I think she is saying that if she makes a mistake, she will have to pay consequences and no 'spiritual' force will be there to save her. "Guess it wasn't real after all, guess it wasn't real all along" I think this line is pretty self explanatory. "If you want to live, let live- if you want to go, let go" I think this line relates to the first line I quoted about recieving the consequences of any action- yet without faith. |
