| Looks to me like it's about someone breaking edge (turning their back on the straightedge lifestyle), ruining their lives with drugs/alcohol, and whoever wrote the song being disguisted by it. Pretty obvious from the lines "Your broken edge is what told the truth... Your broken edge is killing you" and "You gave it up for a dirty dime a dozen". | |

| I love the spoken word parts too, but does anyone else get the feeling that it's kind of tongue in cheek? When I first heard it, it reminded me of all the local, horrible metalcore/hardcore/whatever bands that play around here. I know Fall Out Boy have a background in hardcore and honestly (I could be wrong) but I think those parts were intended as parody. | |
