I think that when a band puts out an album as terrible as this, it's time to call it quits. Maybe they were being experimental, or maybe they just changed their sound. Either way, this album sucked. Worst 10 bucks I ever spent in my life. |

To all you little babies who think that Alkaline Trio is your own little secret and that these guys don't deserve to have electricity, get over it. I bet it would be a lot harder to write some pretty kick ass songs without a couple bucks in your pocket, so maybe you should quit bad mouthing people who are trying to expand their horizons, because we all know that as soon as you do that, you turn around and bad mouth that person who refuses to.
Personally, I like being reconized as someone who has decent taste in music. I'd much prefer that to some loser who likes the crappy, unoriginal music that none of you clowns even LIKE, all for the sake of being a little cooler, a little more unique.
I suggest letting people listen to what they want and not obsessing over some stupid label slapped on a band because they're capable of making a halfway decent song.
Because only teeny boppers do that, right? Ha. |

I think it's pretty lame to post covers under bands that didn't even write the song. It would probably confuse people who are trying to educate themselves about what is and isn't actual music.
Also, there's no reason to argue about whether or not they actually covered the song. Simply ask whoever posted it where YOU can hear it and/or where THEY heard it. It's not rocket science. |

I think the album will only be good because people want another "Tell All Your Friends" and that's what they'll get. I don't think TBS is going to progress very much with this album, but I guess I'll still have faith because I haven't heard anything yet.
Either way, these guys don't exactly put out ground breaking material, so I'm anxious to find out if they're going to be one of those bands like...oh, I don't know...NFG who get worse with every album.
And if that's the case, I predict TBS will soon only be acceptable at 7th grade girls' lunch tables everywhere. Much like NFG. |

Pt. How could such a great band be so ignored, while the likes of...a lot of other great bands (besides The Dave Matthews Band (I loathe) and Avril Lavigne) are on the Top 50 list. It LOOKS like the Top 50 bands (while I like a lot of them) are only THERE because it's HIP to like those bands at the moment.
Aannyyyway, I have no idea what to think about this song. I just chose to rant here because this is my favorite Brazil song. =) |
