yes this song is about how ian had his wife and a mistress and could not choose between them and could be a reason for his suicide along with his epilepsy. And also the person who said Fall Out Boy does a cover of this song and it brings pain is completely right! Their version is HORRIBLE but try the live cure cover it is half way decent |

yeah i think that they were actually the ones who did something deviant. the first line "We pulled it off right in front of your eyes like it was magic" im guessing they did something to someone but it kinda went un noticed and then they say "They''ll find us dead for this...they'll find us dead or smiling" so i guess either karma is gonna come back to get them and its going to be so horrible when it does or maybe its not gonna come back around and they'll be smiling. But thats just the 1st part then i think that they start talking about someone else and what they did and how karma will come around to get them. maybe it is talking about the band thing from above ^^ but i have no idea |

yeah i think you nailed it, i kinda think that maybe he was a teenager or something when his brother was born and he was going through that phase when he alienates himself from his family and kinda lives in his room or is out all the time and i think that he definately regrets it but thats a stage that most of us go through. this is an amazing song by the way |

Perhaps this song does have double meaning?? Claudio himself has admitted that the song is about a Knicks game he went to see but i agree with iheartjesse... that they wouldnt put a song on the cd that had nothing to do with the story so somehow it is tied in with the story. How? I dont know. But i guarantee it is cause if its not thats just really stupid on Coheeds part then |

yea ekmiod i've listened to this song about 1000 times and they definately say "sincerely written from my brothers blood machine" i really dont know where u got that other line from but i am 100% positive thats what they say and i dont know why they would need to mask a line anyway because it's not like coheed is played on the radio and anything so theyre not that well known, so it really wouldnt spark any controversy |

I find that all of the songs on this cd, except for this one and 2113, are somewhat easy to see what the significance of is to the story. This song has me completely stumped however. I think that the first part might have something to do with claudio and his parents (Coheed and Cambria) and i think that claudio might just be thinking of them and remembering the memories of them, i'm really not too sure tho. I think that maybe the end of the song has something to do with apollo since they do mention his name, but apollo also is a dog and theres the line, "like an old dog youre better off" thats really all i can think of. this and 2113 are definately the hardest songs on the cd to translate |

i'm not too sure cuz they dont show the lyrics word for word but the very last line of this song it sounds like he says "tonite, sleep tight, my gun" i dont know if this is correct or not but thats what it sounds like he says, i'm not to sure as to what the significance of that would be either |
