Radiohead – Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was Lyrics 21 years ago
At the end when there's the repeat of 'bulletproof' theres something in the background.. sounds like "still in love" so, it is about love? ^^

Blue Öyster Cult – Don't Fear The Reaper Lyrics 21 years ago
wasn't there something about 40 thousand people having to do with The Rapture? You know, the thing where jesus returns or something... I don't know enough about it to know if I'm just pulling this out of my ass or not haha. Perhaps its related?

David Bowie – Life on Mars? Lyrics 21 years ago
i guess i see something different than everyone else in this song. i think it might be a little bit about how much movies sometimes just mirror real life ("But the film is a saddening bore
For she's lived it ten times or more", "But the film is a saddening bore
'Cause I wrote it ten times or more", and the chorus sounds like good elements of a movie... or things that happen regularly in real life) and how its monotonous, but people are really too over-fascinated by them. "Is there life on Mars?" Such a deeper thought, is like an after thought thrown in to mock little petty movies and peoples extreme enthusiasm over them. I might be taking shots in the dark, though :P

Placebo – Teenage Angst Lyrics 22 years ago
It's about teenage angst but it's also a bit sarcastic, I think. "Since I was born I started to decay.
Now nothing ever - ever goes my way." Sort of sums up the battle cry of angsty teens... like there's nothing to be cranky about so lets be cranky about the world not being fair (and we all know it never is lol) and dying eventually (because you know we all do and its nothing we can stop). I really like how tongue in cheek it all is.

Placebo – Black-Eyed Lyrics 22 years ago
i dont know when my comment is going to show up.. but i mistakenly said the title of it was teenage angst (whoops different song. same thing basically though coz both the songs sort of mock peoples frivolous pain the create for themselves, i always get the two confused) my bad. im not a dumbass, really :(

Placebo – Taste In Men Lyrics 22 years ago
Actually, the intro is sampled from the intro to Pink Floyd's "Let There Be More Light"

As for the meaning, here's my two cents. He's with someone who he treats badly (doing nothing on Valentines Day was the clue there lol) and manipluates ("Come back to me awhile") but the cry is that if the lover doesn't like it they ought to change their taste in men. Either that, or its unhappiness with a relationship, and an internal plead with himself to change his own taste in men.

Placebo – Black-Eyed Lyrics 22 years ago
It's exactly what palefaced said it's about. The title itself gives it away as "teenage angst" has always had the connotation of being frivolous angst. And with regaurds to the "Borderline bipolar" and "Borderlining schizo" bits- that's the blow at all the kids who running around thinking they have some mental illness and wearing their hypochondriac induced mental illnesses like a badge and changing it every other week. One can't say "Oh, I'm schitzophrenic and bipolar" because they're two *completley* different diseases, lol.
