This song has that unmistakable raw honesty and beauty that Against Me! plays with. It was one of my first AM! songs and god, it means so much to me. I can easily understand howhearing it live could be the best two minutes of a person's life.

Ok, I have in front of me the booklet that came with the Lifted CD. Believe whatever source you want, but this is how the lyrics in question are arranged in the booklet.
First off, there are no quotes, but it says "You said to go explore those other women, the geography of their bodies but there is just one map you'll need..."
And the other part goes "Because if you don't, then this book is all lies. If you don't, then my plans would all be ruined. If you don't, I'll start..."
I don't know, the dialogue and the non-dialogue are so mixed up, it's confusing. |

This is an awesome song. Awesome band, too (and Chris is an awesome drummer. He's also the best tech my school's drumline has ever had the pleasure of working with!)
But I'm curious, because the Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution also have this song in their repertoire, so who wrote the original song and performed it first? |

This song is pretty good. It makes me feel kind of bad for Cool Ethan, even if he is a creepy asshole. One thing though: when I heard this song on Comedy Central's presentation of Slackers, I could've sworn I'd heard it somewhere before. I heard that Dashboard Confessional did this song also, but I don't know how true that is. Anyone have any ideas? |

this song was on a list of "awesomely bad songs" in some magazine or something. but this song is really good, i like it. it reminds me of when i was like 7 and my big sister would drive me around and we'd listen to this. oh, and i'm 15 and i've never heard of 4 non blondes band except for this one song. are the rest of their songs good too? |
