Our Lady Peace – Under Zenith Lyrics 21 years ago
This is how I see the song... "Zenith" means something at its highest point... like either a celestial body at its highest point in the "heavens" or someone at their highest point. So I think it's about someone who is depressed, or going through a depressed time and needs someone there with them.. not necissarily to cheer them up, but just to be there and make sure things don't go too far ("much stronger than sympathy, let your best friend pull back that leash"), because what they're going happens all the time and it's good for them("it's healthy if not for long") I think the "frozen man" refers to someone who is "emotionally frozen" so they don't feel anything, but it's not good to be like that and "someone somewhere has to cry" and the cycle that he sings about is the depression that person is in, but is saying to go ahead and let it run its course, it's not going to hurt anyone.... and finally, I think that the end part where he sings "I love how you let me fall
under but not to far
I love how you let me fall
only now I see where we are
hold me" is the person going through this talking to their friend, letting them know that they like how they let them get that way, but they are always there in case it gets really bad.... I don't know.... just my thoughts on it....

i think it's sorta opposite of a "born again" religious feeling. I think it's talking about being oppressed by religion- and i'm just saying this from my point of view as someone who was from a deeply religous family and coming out of it and realizing all the things i could have missed out on while being governed under the rules of religion- and they're coming out of their religion realizing they were "blind" to all of the things they could have done and that they've "wasted too much time drowning" in everything that religion does to you. hence the feeling of seizing the day because they didn't do that before and they feel free now. that's what i gather from it:)

Our Lady Peace – Dirty Walls Lyrics 21 years ago
The way I see it, it's talking about people that you try to talk to, but are really shallow and can't think deeper than a puddle and how it's so much easier just to throw out the "shallow words" rather than thinking and absorbing things around you.... I dunno, that's what I gather from it.
